Lobster Opener, 2014, Santa Barbara Island

The sport season for lobster in California always begins the Saturday before the first Wednesday of October. This year, 2014, that was Saturday the 27th of September.
We travel over to the Island the day before the season. This gives us an opportunity to make a few dives in the daytime to see where the lobsters are, and where is safe to make a dive at midnight.
the conditions were incredibly rough, but we make the most of it and get on some decent bug diving.
