During the summit night at what stage do you wear mountaineering boots?

Once you climb past the rocky part of the mountain, you reach the icy part. That transition place is called the crampon point. That’s where you switch to mountaineering boots from the regular hiking boots.

I don’t have any experience in climbing. I am planning to do the everest base camp trekking + lobuche too. Do you think that experience is required to climb lobuche? Im thinking about that

You definitely need some high altitude hiking experience although not necessarily mountaineering. I’d say at least some 14,000 feet plus peaks. Mountaineering experience is a plus though. Most people that were there had prior mountaineering experience. I’d say If you successfully do EBC and Kala pathar then you can try to attempt Lobuche. But without that, NO!

Thanks for your answer. The only experience that i have in altitude is snowboarding in 10,000 feet. It was ok for me, but i know that’s this isn’t a parameter, especially because its a very low altitude. I asked about lobuche, because the enterprise that im looking to hire to do the tracking to base of everest have that package together. Maybe should be better for me doing other high altitude mountains before doing this one. I am thinking about kilimanjaro, although i really wanted to start trough the everest base camp, but didnt want to do only that. Do you think that doing the everest base camp i could attempt the lobuche or it is really too difficult? Thaks for you help and advice

@@luizfelipeaspira EBC is really easy compared to Lobuche. Because EBC is just a walk, while Lobuche is mountaineering. You probably can let your guide know that you want to try Lobuche only upon successful completion of EBC. I’m sure they’d be ok with that. If you find EBC is walk in the park then try Lobuche. If not, don’t. Hope this helps! Good luck!

@@saritadhakal495 bahini..expenses chahin ali confusing nai chha. It was part of total package with 5 of us. And it included 21 days , Lobuche was just one of them. Do you have a good mountaineering experience? If so I’d say it’s not too difficult. But this was our first major climb and it was extremely difficult.

@@saritadhakal495 That’s awesome!! Good luck! EBC is definitely doable for you then. For Lobuche climb you definitely need some basic training first. But it’s doable. Have fun traveling!
