Im glad I found this video. I was natural for 7 years before I started my locs, however I had 2 big chops within that time frame. I've been loc'd 2 years this month. When I started them I had a huge fro, probably shoulder length if it was flat ironed. I'm experiencing the bunching now and a few buds. I thought I was done budding and I absolutely didn't know what the bunching was, lol. So, I'm glad to see it's part of the process and also glad the loose ends is part of it too. Thanks and your locs are beautiful! Just subscribed.

Naki☕ awww I’m glad you found this video too! I am so grateful my channel is helping you along your journey. Welcome to my channel! I’m excited to have you! Yes ma’am it’s all apart of the process. I still have a few that are bunching ( I just noticed them the other day) but I will gently tug them on wash day. I’m going to do a video of it. Thank you so much!

My first loc appeared at the very back on my head... then I realized it was bunched. I thought that was a "knotty" budding. It shrunk of course bc I too started off my locks with my hair long. I dont mind my locs being "un even" tho. I'm glad I saw this, bc you explained it better. I like to know what's happening so thank you🙏🦋❤

New subscriber here!!💕 Question: do you tug the loc before or after retwisting? And do you do it while it’s wet or dry? I was watching this video bc I just washed and tetwisted my two strand starter locs for the first time today after 2 months and have some serious bunching going on! I watched your video and we are literally hair twinsies!! Lol my hair was also natural and passed bra strap length when I started, a few weeks ago my very front loc ( same exact as yours) had budding at the top and i got worried so I did the exact same thing as you and took it out then retwisted not knowing that it just already starting to bud lol! THANK YOU FOR MAKING THIS VIDEO!! You and your locs are GORGEOUS!!
@CoreneGardner4 жыл бұрын
Moona Ali heyyyyy!! Thank you so much for subscribing! Welcome to my channel hair twins!! Lol. That’s so funny that our journey is so similar! I like to tug them when I wash them because the hair won’t be prone to breakage during that time. It’s easier when wet as well. Gently tug and use the palms of your hands to smooth out the bunching. I plan to do a detailed video soon on this process. Thank you so much for watching!

Stunning hair and so are you! Question, when you are palm rolling to smooth out the bunching and budding, how much pressure do you apply? I want my locs to be as soft and fluffy as possible and not compacted from rolling them with too much pressure. Thanks!

I think, and this is a guess...a bunch is just "loosely" held together hair, just hair that has bunched up and a bud it more a solid, full area that swells up...
