Because I instant locked and handmade my own loc’s I know how to crochet my natural hair instant loc’s to remove the frizz! No problem with slippage or extra weight because I made sure the density feels the same root to end! I love these loc’s! I wish that I had locked my hair sooner! Installed 01/31/22. I agree 💯 with your pros and cons for loc extensions. I always liked how loc extensions look - so neat, and I would also get to choose my length from day one. Was tempted to get them but for one thing I didn't have anyone I could trust to install them. That said, I did have some reservations because I was afraid of the weight on my already thinning hair and worried how my super sensitive scalp would react to the foreign strands lol. Great topic as usual. 🥰

My biggest issue was always locs popping off in random places and me having a floating Loc in the sky where that extension fell off 😅😂

I’ve always used the line from Vivica A Fox : amzn.to/3JjTDTl I like that it takes dye and bleach well if you want to color the extensions.

@@DavidJaysWay hey bro I really appreciate it. I’m gonna grow my hair out for a few months and get these! I used to have 2 strand twists but the army kept making me cut my hair and I’m really not trying to go through that again. What is budding and swelling btw ?

You’re welcome. I hear you on that! Budding and swelling is when you get the lumps and in your locs in the middle or on the ends. Some people say the locs look pregnant.

I wanted to add that I noticed my handmaid 100% human hair loc’s swell when wet and condense to a smaller size when they dry just as my natural loc’s do!

That’s a good point to note that when you have 100% human hair it acts and reacts very similar to the hair coming from your scalp!

Yeah I liked the look of my extensions but I always had the fear in the back of my mind that I might have one pop out at any point and anywhere! Especially if I’m in water 😅

I crochet my instant loc’s 1/2” above and below where the dense ends meet to insure that the connection is secure and washed immediately after installation and gave each loc a tension pull test! I also check for weak spots monthly after shampooing and 2 point interlocking the new growth. I hope this helps. P.S. I do have to make loc repairs due to my new kitten’s love of swinging and chewing my loc’s as I style them in the mornings! Lol! You didn’t have this con listed! Lol!
