yes, I still use castor oil. i'm going to do another JBCO update in June, when it's been a full 6 months since my list one.

oh i think i see it. looks like a combination of water, the light and my grey hairs. it could also be a result of some left over conditioner, since that's really the only think i use. sometimes i have trouble getting all of it out i haven't done the ACV rinse in about 6 months, so maybe i'll do it again to see if it makes a difference. let me know if you try it and how works out for you. i'm going to do another JBCO update in June. i think it's better to show a full 6 months of progress

thanks! i'm doing P90X, so I train arms 2 days a week for an hour each workout. P90X has an iphone app that you can use to buy the workouts, it's cheaper than the DVDs

ooh can't wait! the trick is making sure your hair is wet beforehand and then completely dry when you remove the pipe cleaners. maybe you could try it on just one braid as test instead of doing your whole head?

you're welcome! :) um in my experience, no. but i always make sure to use pins that still have the rubber guards on the end, which does make a difference. if the guards are off i don't use them because they can snag your hair.

Just curious what do cover your hair with when u shower. have u tried celestial crown shower caps. I got mines in the mail last week and it is great. It's made with love for people with long locs.

where do you see build up in my hair? :P in the beginning of the video when my hair is down there are a few specks in my hair, but it's water because i had just washed my hair. otherwise, i don't see any. i haven't used gel on my hair in almost 2 years because of build up and flakes.

ha! yes you can call me Ches ;) thing is, i deal with TONS of negativity online, most of which i don't respond to, but some days I blow off steam and say something. i'm human! when my locs were younger i would palm roll to keep them smooth and even, but i haven't had to do that in years since they're fully mature. my advice would be to palm roll to help smooth them out if they're bumpy. also make sure you use the same maintenance method and always twist the same direction

I can see where u have some build up. What do u use for the build up? I went to get my hair retwisted today, and the loctician complained that I had a lot of build up. She took about 20 or more to wash and spray the water on the hair and roots to try and get off the build up. However, to retwist it she used a clear gel (seems like a fairly new black owned product) and it's flaky now :( Do u still use the JBCO? I would appreciate if u did an update on it.

I love this style but I have a very big problem when it comes to pinning. I found it so difficult to use the hair pins. Can somebody tells me on how to use them on hair for easy grip? Mine doesn't stay well and it gives me a great concern. I will appreciate the help. Thanks.
