Love the video! Love your locs! I'm two years in with my loctician doing retwists through palm rolling every 9 to 13 weeks. The neatly manicured look lasts a few days before im looking frizzy again . I'm still super frizzy. I don't even go to the salon anymore because im tired of paying all that money sitting in the chair in pain from the pulling and tugging of my hair. I'm very tenderheaded. Figured i could maintain my locs on my own because my hands are more gentler on my head. But these frizzies and fly aways are just out of control. I guess it's just my hair type or maybe two years into the journey of locs is still young and they just need more time to mature. I'm just trying to learn to embrace my frizziness at this point, but perhaps me doing the palm roll on my ends will help some. I will try it.

5 years ago I was still in that sort of baby social justice era whitegay phase of "Oh, I'm white so I really shouldn't "be in black spaces"" which in my mind meant: watching Black creators talk about anything other than politics or generic fandom, so I didn't watch your hair stuff, and god did I miss out. Those loc petals are absolutely incredible looking, I mean stunning. And yeah, your updos always look absolutely glamorous and elegant. Also, those pipe cleaner curls are an immediate favorite, cause my dear friend in college had something similar (he was very much like, my gay mentor when I first came out as gay and trans. He looked out for me, was so much more patient with teaching me how to respectfully talk about race as a white person, how to protect myself as a queer person when dealing with police, and so, so much more, and since in a lot of ways your content helped me with that as well at the same time, this hairstyle immediately just, IDK feels friendly to me lol) Chesca seriously, you're right, you look like a marble statue with or without hair, and also, you had TALENT. I mean it, I have family whose own a hairdresser shop for almost 50 years and I don't think she could touch how well you did your hair. Great vid!

Yeesss thank you omg I have a lot of breakage from postpartum (twin pregnancy drained me) and although you can’t tell because my hair is super thick I can tell my roots are thinner than normal whe twisting then I let somebody do my hair and she retwisted them in the wrong direction 🥺🥺😭🤦🏾‍♀️🤦🏾‍♀️🤦🏾‍♀️ so now I have to get it right I’ve always did my own hair and I think I’ll stick to that because lord ppl will mess you up
