My gosh, your locs are beautiful and they look soooo healthy. I was never interested in locs because I honestly have never seen any this gorgeous. All the ones I've seen looked dry , and brittle or disproportionate and just wrong. Mr. Walter's did an impeccable job. I know where I'm going if ever decide on getting locs!!!

Much love thank you!! Everyone's locs are so different and depend on your hair's thickness and the products used to maintain them. I keep my routine super simple shampoo, light conditioner every now and then, and liquid oil/water. Dassit! :-)

HappyKeepin ItNappy LOL! Totally agree, he whipped up that style so easily. I just said I wanted an up do, with a little something left down, and he worked it on out! Yeah I am losing weight :-) Planning to post a vid about it soon. All of my triathlon training has given me a big boost. As for the skin care, I honestly think it has more to do with what I've been putting in my body than on my skin. I've been focused on clean eating (minimizing processed foods) and increasing my water intake. My facial routine is super low key: MaryKay's 3-n-1 TimeWise Cleanser, and Jergens Extra Dry Skin Moisturizer, that's it!

I went to a loctician to start my locs with two strand twists. We discussed the size I wanted and then she parted accordingly; she, very much like Damian, is very much so focused on the health of the hair. I'd imagine that filtered water could work in a pinch, but distilled seems to be best. Thanks for watching!

We use tap to wash the hair but have the shampoo/conditioner to buffer the negative effects.. When it comes to styling etc he recommends using distilled/filtered.

Ahhhh I had put the video together like the day after my appointment, and then iMovie wouldn't let me export!! 😫. Kept erroring out, finally I had to get some different software (and allow my annoyance level to come down) before I could sit down and edit it again. I'm not sure what the cleansing shampoo was actually, the moisturizing shampoo was Design Essentials and he did the retwist with Taliah Waajid Tight Hold.

I'm looking for products to help keep my hair moisturized for numerous days instead of one. Also which cleansing and moisturizing shampoos would be best. Any suggestions would be great!

+Brittnae Johnson I think if you feel like your hair is dry, itcy etc it definitely couldn't hurt. Depending upon how you started your likes, eg. comb coils, it may cause them to plump up a bit, but they'll need to fuzz up anyway to start to bud. Shouldn't impact locs started with two-strand twists.

I want my locs that beautiful too, but I'm gone need Damian to pray over my edges too. They need thickness. (Thin right now). Damian will you fly to other states to do the locs? Would he recommend a ACV cleansing?: lemon juice, baking soda, and ACV I seen vids of the ACV cleaning and I have seen build up removed, and moisture loc in.

It's hard to match up loc sizes exactly, b/c the size is also dependent on your hair density. Also, I think that he only starts locs w/ coils, I started mine with two-strand twists. Yeah it was! He posts his two cell phone numbers on IG all the time. Just call, leave a voicemail, and one of his assistants calls back within 24hrs to schedule your appointment. They then email you a confirmation. On one occasion his voicemail boxes were full.

Thank you! My moisturizer is water, aloe juice, vitamin e and lavender oil. Will be posting a vid about it soon. Rose water and vitamin e oil sound great to me! I just don't care for the rose scent personally.

+Cade Stone awwww, you know everyone's locs are different!! A lot of it has to do with the density of your hair, loc-to-part ratio, and how you start and maintain. Sometimes I wish mine were smaller, but then I think about how long maintenance would be - no thank you! lol

Thank you! 😊 My understanding is that tap ok for shampooing/deep conditioning because you are using another product (the shampoo, or conditioner) that is helping to counteract the effects that hard/soft water can have on the hair. When you're just spritzing water on the hair straight (some people like to mist their hair with water as a topical agent to maintain the moisture), and not adding anything else to it, effects will be harsher.
