Ppl always have something to say about conditioner and oil with locs. I have 3C hair type. I eat plant based, drink plenty of water and fruit juices, take vitamins, wear a satin wrap and all that. And guess what my locs are a year old and were dry as idk what. So I stopped listening to ppl and listened to my hair and give it what its needs. Yep I use conditioner( just wash it out thoroughly), I use oils, and I use rose water. Guess what....whoopty doo, my locs are flourishing. I know there's a difference because even my husband said my locs look way better, not all hard and dry looking, and they felt nicer against his face. This is my second set of locs and i definitely see that's where i went wrong the other time. Btw sis you are correct, even if you use all natural products or none you will still have build up, just from the sebum naturally in your scalp, sweat, and all the things in the air that become attached unknowingly. But I'm not not trying to persuade anyone either way, I'm just sticking up for those of us who do use the these things and are tired of the unwanted and unwarranted comments. May you and your family continue to be blessed 🙏🏾

Your locs look SOO good. Thank you for the information! I am struggling to keep my locs straight. They are bending at the ends. Any tips?

I truly can’t stress how happy I am that you posted this. I really feel like I shouldn’t touch my locs but it’s SOOOOOO HARRRD TOOOOOOO. I just love them and wanna touch them and I separate them and do a light roll at the roots that stay for a day with Black African Castor oil and water.

How long since your last retwist. Your hair is lovely. Also how many locs do you have?

Would you recommend this on young locs? I'm 2 months in and don't want to retwist every 2wks if I can avoid it but the inbetween got me looking like a pineapple lol

Great video! New subbie❤️! I colored my locs a few years back and damaged them tremendously. Since I’ve been trying to leave them alone and get them healthy. Thankfully they have recuperated however some of them are still weak and was considering restarting them. What are your thoughts? I’m four years in, have joined a few, started with interlocks then palm rolling after the damage; just lost lol! Thanks for sharing!!!

Thank you so much. Im on my third set of starter locs and i've been struggling to keep my hair moisturized. The usual spray with a leave in liquid or water, then use oil doesn't work for me. I was wondering if I could use a leave in cream or lotion and your video confirmed, lol.

Awesome!! im so happy to hear that you found something you were looking for! i have another video on how i moisturize my hair using aloe vera, as well as leave in conditioners and oil! hot oils treatments when you shampoo are also super effective! everyone's hair is different but for my own hair, leave in conditioners are a MUST! thanks for watching!
