It has really long hold. They key is to use it on semi damp almost dry hair. You only need a little bit. A little goes a long way! I retwist like every 8 weeks and it last. Are you planning on not washing your starter locs for the 1st 6 months? Not sure it will last that long but it's has a very long hold time, be sure to tie your hair down at night also💜
