Yes, just water. You'll want to oil your roots as well because water dries the hair unless you seal the moisture in. I've just started using distilled water (I heard it's better than tap water). 👍🏾

It does lol. Atleast for me. Got my first retwist this past Sunday and I needed to take a couple of Tylenols to gts. The pain went away almost instantly and I've been fine ever since.

A retwist is never supposed to hurt. Notice thinning and bald spots. If its causing that much traction and tightness youre losing your hair in due time. No different from tight ass box braids and losong your edges!
