Thanks, Sis! I am looking for a good loc twisting gel to do an at home retwist of my locs for the first time ever. My loctician just had a new baby & is on maternity leave. Your video helped me lots! Blessings to you & your daughter!

The African Pride styling gel is a good one for natural hair style factor is great one as well...I combined that with the tight hold

Thanks for this video it’s good to hear different reviews from people about products you thought about trying. Honestly I use tight hold with the orange label and it works very well for my locs retwist last two weeks and no build up I’m not a fan of pomade textures or gels I sweat those out quick in Houston tx but no tight hold it last. It’s great to find alternative but maybe I should stick with what’s working.

Thank you so much for this! I’m recording a second video on loc gels today😂. I’m a big believer in sticking what works for you. It’s amazing how different textures respond to different gels/techniques. But it can also be very frustrating 😩. Houston is on my list of places to travel to🤗

I am currently trying the African Pride loc and twist gel so far so good. Thanks for sharing' Oh by the way I have very soft hair so we shall see. I also interlock due to the way I workout.

😂😂😂😂 maybe. I don’t know if the gel I had is too old but when I applied it last week it left nasty residue on my edges. But it is atleast 4 years old. Proceed with caution 😂😂

What gel would u advice me to use for starting my loc journey
@oh_sheena2312 Жыл бұрын
Yay for starting your locs! If you’ve done twists on your hair in the past with gel I would start with that gel. If not you can always do a little test piece in the back with a couple of gels to see after a week or so if they leave build up. I’d recommend aloe Vera gel if you like “jelly” like consistency or Loc Booster & Loc N because they have a good hold. Are you doing them yourself?

Can i use Edge Boost for starting locs?
@oh_sheena231211 ай бұрын
I’ve never seen it done before. I would probably use something a little more water based first.

what do you recommend? I live in Europe and it's difficult to find something good for starter locs...

To be totally honest it’s hard for me to remember what I used after washing the beezwax out😂. But for a good 10 years I’m pretty sure I used the Mango Jamaican loc gel that people frown upon. So I’m thinking the “regular” formula I used is on Amazon. I plan on using this gel again.

Can’t really see the names of any products unless you say the name.

So sorry about that. I’m trying to go back and add them in the video. I have them listed in the description box as well until I can get it together 😂
