Your current length is my goal length. They’re still sooo long! I have the same issue with my edges. Fine hair struggles 😩. Washed my hair today and I forgot to try and braid the loose hair in instead of wrapping it! Thanks for the reminder lol.

Girrrl in no time you'll reach this length! They really are....I really see it when I watch the play back. You're so welcome for the reminder ;-).

@@itsDawnElle I hope so! Yes, it’s nice you have it all documented 😊.

Don't worry girly! I'm sure those frayed ends will seal back up in their curly form eventually in time.

That's true Mari because I already saw like 2 of them do so on their own :-).

The front and the nape area is like this for me too. I Interlock my Front and back once or twice a year. Interlocking it make it stay in. 😊
@itsDawnElle7 ай бұрын
Really?! I've been highly considering interlocking the perimeter because the loose hairs NEVER stay with the loc. I was afraid of creating holes in my locs by starting interlocking so "late" in my journey. I need to look into this more because the summer is right around the corner and I want a longer lasting solution for sure!

@@itsDawnElle new here. First of all, you and your locs are BEAUTIMOUS!!! Did you ever crochet your edges? A professional, who is GOOD at it, can do it without holes resulting in the future.

@@kristyljohnson5622 Hello 👋🏾 and welcome!🤗 Thank you so much!!😘 I haven’t tried to crotchet the edges but I have tried to crotchet another part of my locs before and it was a complete fail 😂….i just couldn’t do it. I do need to find a professional because these edges are getting on my last nerves lol

So glad to see you back, Dawn! We have the same hair and the same hair issues! ❤ Although, lately I have been leaning more into accepting and loving what I was blessed with. I have also been using the braid-in technique since I found your channel and it has been a game-changer for my texture, so thank you! 🙏🏾💚

Thank you so much! Ohh I'm so happy that this technique has been working for you! ;-)

You make me want to loc my hair ❤
@itsDawnElle7 ай бұрын
Carol.....I say DO IT!!! Lol ;-) It was the best decision ever for me related to hair and the cool thing is that if you don't like it then you can always comb them out to get your loose hair back.

Beautiful as always ❤ The sections right above the temples are also very sensitive for me as well, with locs and even as a loose natural. I'm loving the cheat code retwist. It saves so luch time! Moose for the ends have saved my curly ends from looking craz y, some of them even loc'd. Your locs have grown since the trim😍 Wash day inspo for sure

Thank you so much!! Ahhh so it's not just me! My mom said hers are sensitive too....I may do some research on this. I wonder what causes that sensitivity. I felt like they've grown too so you just confirmed it for me :-).

We are hair twins so my locs are very similar to yours. I'll definitely be braiding my loose hair into my locs I've been crocheting them for the past year or so to get the new growth to loc in. I'm watching this then going to retwist my hair lol
@itsDawnElle7 ай бұрын
Wow that's so awesome! I love finding my hair twin ;-). I remember looking and not being able to find anyone with similar hair to mine. Do you feel like the crocheting lasted or did the hair eventually make its way outside of your locs again? I've tried to crochet but I just can't seem to do it correctly lol
@angie1019728 ай бұрын
I cut about 3-4 inches off my locs and the ends did the same as yours.🤷🏽♀️ I also only twist the locs that have a lot of loose hairs. The rest I just leave. I really don’t plan to retwist again. Except for the 4 locs in the front. 2 on each side and 2 in the back on the corner. 1 on each side. The rest will just freeform
@itsDawnElle7 ай бұрын
Ohh wow! So it must just be what happens to the ends regardless of how they are cut. I wish I could go semi freeform....I've tried multiple times and it's just too painful for my scalp and I think my fine strands just won't allow it.
@simonejeanette70668 ай бұрын
U can crochet the ends closed really easily🎉 I haven't finished the video of u said that already.
@itsDawnElle7 ай бұрын
That's very true except I haven't been able to successfully crochet any loose hair for my locs. I'm thinking about combing out the ends a little to get back my loose curly ends that I had before I trimmed my locs.
@simonejeanette70667 ай бұрын
@@itsDawnElle that's very true and a good idea. I'll keep that in mind too if I ever trim mine, I might have the same experience with my hair. Thanks for sharing your journey
