Bush era tax credits and government grants fueled the NG boom, when it ran out these companies died off and the equipment with it. It’s not a bad idea, just kind of complicated and messy to convert a car and the high 3600 psi gas onboard is more dangerous than gasoline.

Is there a full size Ford pickup truck that can be converted? I've tried to find a way to convert a 2014 Ford Raptor with the massive V8 engine in it. I also have a 2019 Ford Raptor with the V6 turbo which I believe the double turbo is the reason that vehicle can't be converted. This something that has been very frustrating to me. I had bought a transit connect by Ford that took 7 months to get before Trump was in office and gas was off the hook. I was told it needed case hardened valves and just some minor things in the engine. This would be driven....a lot. At the time I saw a unit called PHILL. Well, before I ever did the conversion, prices were under $2 bucks a gallon. I had planned on putting unit at my main store and one at home.[I'm a small mom and pop two store operation but we do a lot of work. Actually reps are blown away at the volume we do] Bit every product we sell comes from oris fired with gas, or the coatings on the wood are all petrochemicals, and carpet is all oil based. So right now, the mills are not even guaranteeing a price on a job I bid today past today. And we are buried. My son just ordered twop 2021 RANGERS before talking to me. I don't know for sure, but I think it's safe to assume those will be V6, Eco-Boost engines. But with fuel insane again, I'm really wanting to do what I had planned on maybe 7 years ago and have then run as a bi-fuel vehicle. Gas or CNG. You can buy CNG from a ready mix concrete place by us that uses it for their concrete trucks exclusively, but they mark it up for the general public too much to justify the conversions. Anyway, at the very least, I'd like to find out and maybe you know someone in the states that knows which engines can be ideally converted to bi-fuel vehicles. This PHILL is nowhere to be found anymore. I have one store in NW Indiana and the store I started 31 years ago is in Illinois. If you know anything about Illinois and the Pritzker's, wealth would be an understatement. The taxes on gas again are brutal. I'm tired of depending on who is in office determining what a "so called fossil fuel," a term coined by John D. Rockefeller in order to make it seem finite which allowed him to manipulate the prices. He also was the one funding Prohibition. He didn't want anyone making alcohol. Much like the electric cars and the CNG today, when Henry Ford built the Model T, there were no gas stations. He built that car so it would run off of ANYTHING YOU COULD GROW AND FERMENT. A LITTLE TIDBIT OF HISTORY THAT ISN'T TAUGHT TODAY. By design of course. Rockefeller in today's money would worth $267 billion dollars. More than Gates and Musk combined. Besides, I'm a 57 year old man now and I can remember being in eighth grade and being told we'd be out of "fossil fuels" by the year 2000. Seriously? It's amazing how people buy into so much because they aren't critical thinkers and don't have the courage to challenge so many of the absurdities we've been taught as fact. They are not factual. We obviously haven't ran out and won't, but the fact is 99% of the population doesn't challenge this stuff and trust a guy who had 98% of the kerosene business when it was the main fuel to light a house up. What you're doing is so much better of an alternative than even electric. With electric, our bodies are being bombarded by electromagnetic frequencies that when [unless it can be stopped] we go to 5G, that's the same power that a microwave uses. But you use that for seconds. To be bombarded with millimeter waves all day is like a "directed energy weapon." It destroys us at a cellular level and people don't get it. They don't even know that the then Soviet Union tested these out in 1976 and decided these waves were far too damaging to the body and pulled away from using them. That may change now because everyone is bent on being a superpower. Sorry about the length. Passion isn't something that should be harnessed.

This was an amazing response. I agree that they've monopolized gasoline so we're dependent on them. Cng does seem the way to go...but it would require an easy way to produce it with a volume substantial enough to replace gasoline. Idk of that can be done "at home"

@@brettbowers6 it can be produced quite easily at home. The trick is making sure its dry, filtered of particulates and then compressed.

@@sparkythawelder unfortunately I'm out in the country so we don't have piped in cng to the house. I'd have to find a way to produce the gas...not sure if a biodigester could keep up with the demand...but I'm looking into it. Thanks for the reply.

I had a feeling it wasn't going to be available. The petrol folks aren't going to let technology that makes it easy to cut them out of the marketing loop
