Agreed. I remember driving w/ my x gf in late 90’s, cranking a grey cassette from her x bf w/ side A: ham fisted & side B: as good as dead. Was ready to shit on it, considering x bf, but I owned how much I loved it, asking questions, etc. i wanted to hang with the x. “This is Rock.” Ha ha!

Scott your guitar/ bass sound is one of the reasons your band is my favorite . I remember hearing it for the first time in 97,98. It blew my mind. Very cool dude.

I love that he's just using the tuners to mute and he's just using the tremolo to split the signal. It's all just rigged up and nothing is being used for what it was actually designed for. Lol

took me years to figure out the magic behind the Local H phaser sound. this vid did it. that DOD phaser rules. i would have paid more attention while standing up front at the shows over the years, but when i was that close i was usually drunk.

This video was haphazardly filmed. Looking at the raw footage, this is unfortunately the best we could do. Scott didn't have much time to spend with us. Most of our Gear Masters episodes are, to our dismay, filmed under a lot of time-constraints. We work with the situation we're given and do the best we can with the footage. I do appreciate you checking out the video.

That guitar setup would've worked in the 80's and back,but a lead player is a must,for rock(IMO).Would've sufficed for a rhythm guitarist(chunking) and bass player.
