I volunteered for Best Friends in New Orleans after Katrina. These are likely pets that were already there up for adoption to make room at LA shelters or get them out of harms way. Reuniting strays with their owners is always their top priority.

Are they notifying families of locations these animals are going. A friend of mine adopted a dog that came from the flood in New Orleans and she did the homework and found out who the original owners were and they weren’t even aware, the dog had been adopted out, but told they were being taken care of until they fixed their housing. That’s really going to suck if they aren’t doing a data base of these animals being shipped out all over the US and families also lose their beloved pets.

I'm sorry I am completely confused. Why are we needing to fly animals out of Burbank Airport to safety. It isn't like all of LA is on fire. Where are you flying them to. Are they going to be able to get back to their families? If you have driven them all the way to the Burbank Airport isn't there somewhere near there that you could leave them to be taken care of. This just makes no sense!
