I bought a Wrangler 4 yrs ago after having one in the 90’s like you. Didn’t know this was a thing until I came out after shopping about a week from owning it. 2 Ducks. Right on the hood. Asked a guy at work that has one and explained. I now have a sticker on my Jeep saying “No Ducks Given, No Ducks Taken”. That seem to stop that.

When I bought my Jeep Wrangler and learned about Ducking, I became obsessed! I have calmed down now after a year. I get pretty excited when I see Jeep that have not been Ducked! I even created a FB page for Missouri. BEEP! BEEP! I'M A JEEP! Lebanon, Missouri. Here's a tip: To keep your ducks from moving off the dashboard, my bestie told me to get the Velcro dots from Walmart. :) There is also the Jeep Wave. When you are about to pass another Jeep, put your fingers up in a wave. It's so much fun!

No other vehicle has this level of camaraderie. For the record, what you should do is take a picture, share it, and hold onto the duck until you spot a comrade Jeep you want to duck. Then you place said duck on that Jeep and carry on. You can also have a bag of fresh ducks and keep spreading it around.

I had my custom tricked out Jeep ducked for the first time. I almost cried as it's cool someone thought my jeep is cool. 4 years to rebuild and bring back to life, it's my baby and it's really pretty cool, well I thought to just me but someone cared enough to duck me. I bought a wrangler 4.0 because it's a tough, well built, easy to work on, and it has a huge aftermarket scene with tons of options to add on.. Not to be part of a rubber duckie giggle party. So my family and I live in the Ft Lauderdale area. My older son just turned 15 and we got him a 2009 Jeep Wrangler Sahara (hard top 4 door) so he can learn to drive on the car he will be driving. Anyway my neighbor from a few doors down has the same model Jeep. Today I saw her place a little rubber ducky on the driver door handle. She pulled away before I could get out to the driveway. I had no idea what it was about but we had a friend over who has a few friends with Jeeps and she told us the meaning about the duck. Very cool, you can learn something new every day!

the first time I got duck i was angry. It was a clown. I was like who calling me a clown, Then I got ducked again. Someone explained the game. I now have over 300 ducks. I have ordered tags. I have made my own. I spent last week ducking pink ducks with breast cancer ribbons. This week I am giving halloween ducks. I have put inspirational stickers on the back of my tags. I get so excited when I see a jeep. I was on the phone with my son. I was driving on the express. My son, said just throw him one mom. Iove this jeep ducking

We got our first duck while camping at Mother Neff State Park in Texas. Two girls were camped there with their Jeep. We have the camping duck on our dashboard and we bought ones to duck other Jeeps we see at the state parks! I have seen some Jeeps full of ducks on their dashboard. I think it is neat. Just as fun as giving another Jeep a "Jeep" wave. With so much going on in the world, they need a little fun. Those that hate it are sad.

I learned about the Jeep Wave from the salesman who sold me my Jeep. But I had no idea about this duck thing. One day I found a rubber duck in my door handle. “Nice Jeep,” written on it. There is no connection. The duck thing didn't start until the JK came out and was probably started by some teenage girl. How it caught on I'll never understand. It is however the quickest way to figure out who has a Jeep because it's trendy and who doesn't.

I have a no ducks sticker on my jeep and still get them so now I have a Duck head necklace that hangs on the rear view mirror. I added a sticker that says " I will behead your Duck and put it on this necklace ". I've had Karen's and Joes whine about it and call me a heartless prick claiming I should be grateful for the Duck and if I don't want it to give it to a child. I'm not contributing to the delinquency of a child by getting them hooked on ducks like some so called adults are. There are are Jeep owners who don't like angry eyes grills, color coordinated Amazon add ons, or themes for their Jeeps.

Legend has it, that in late 2010, in the interior of Alaska, a father was given a rubber duck by his 18 month old son, the act touched the father so much that he put the duck on the antenna of his favorite vehicle, a tan 1990 Jeep wrangler. Four years passed and the duck was still on the Father's Jeep antenna. At that time the parents of the boy started a dog sled ride business called "Fairbanks dog sled rides", and their Jeep was parked outside of their tour cabin, where it stayed with the duck on the antenna that the Father's son gave him until October 2019 when the father and his family left Alaska on their skoolie and traveled the lower 48 until COVID hit They now live in Arkansas with a new Jeep, the old tan Jeep now belongs to a new owner as of September 2023 And the rubber duck is now lost to time but the memory still remains for the family of the father and the thousands of tourists that have heard the story of the rubber duck that a little boy gave his father and the father in turn put it on his Jeep And if anyone is curious what the ducks name was it was "What" yes What the Duck named by a dad and his son

It was my son who gave me the duck and I put it on my Jeep, yes his mom was there and we were both amazed that he did it, at 14 now he is still very giving If I remember correctly he picked it up along the bank of the Chena river in downtown Fairbanks after they had their rubber duckie race and gave the duck to me People would tease me about it until I told them why it was on my Jeep antenna The above story just sounded cooler when I am not taking credit for starting the craze It doesn’t matter if you believe me, truth doesn’t change with opinion I’ve just never seen anyone with a rubber duck on their Jeep until I put my sons on mine
