I guess that will depend on how you balance the main object, the background and the sun. But my personal preference is the portrait orientation. You can get closer and have some espace for the sun burst in the background. Great work on the tutorials! Simple, quick and fun to watch!

I think different lenses also produce different quality sunbursts. As a Nikon shooter, I think the 16-35 mm produces much crisper sunbursts than the 8-15 mm fisheye.

Hi Arash, that's a very good point. It would actually be interesting to see some side-by-side tests of different lenses in the same shooting conditions.

Hi Rick - These sunburst settings are good for shooting sunbursts on most dives. The main factors that would change them are depth and visibility (both of which affect the stregnth of the sunburst).
