Awesome attitude Sue, just love it! You come across so well on these vlogs! What a lovely spot for the drone flying! Even the wee midgies didn’t dampen your spirit! Great advice on the pre appliance! What an absolute, why park right in front of you when there is so much space!? The river flowing in and the ambient noises were beautiful! Great choice of music for the wonderful flyover! A very professional video and i love the drone shots. Me and my friends have been here every year for the past 24 years on a long camping weekend. With the exception of 2001 when foot and mouth outbreak closed the loch and we ended up at a Butlins type holiday park bearby 🤣 When we first went back in ‘99 it was carrying small twigs what felt like miles just to make a small fire that would last about 30 mins 🤦♂️As the years rolled by our trips evolved and now we literally live like a home from home with portable sky tv,bring our own dry wood for the fire in huge sacks, and a massive home made griddle for the food we cook on the fire as well as music and various sports entertainment. All of this whilst still sleeping in tents and camping naturally. We have seen the Roundhouse at the dam end grow from a small public toilet to the large cafe and wonderful osprey viewing platform (run by Brian) it is today. We love Loch Doon and it has been our well kept wild secret for years however we have seen that it is quite fast becoming more commercialised but we would never want to be anywhere else. P.S even my email address has Loch Doon in it 😲😄

Yes it is an amazing video, quite the Scottish naturalist too. You are in the best place being in Scotland 🏴 because the weather man said this in towns and cities will find it very difficult to sleep. The castle was fenced off when we went a few months back. Shame really. We have been in there though but been a couple of years ago. Loch Doon is a very beautiful place. Where you went left and parked up for your brew is where we parked up that's on our intro. You used to be able to drive the forest road, which we have done in the past, but it's not open for some reason. They're probably logging no doubt. It's bumpy but worth it when it's open.
