My brother died in January, he was only 43 and had nothing wrong with him - just had a random brain haemorrhage. He was from Manchester like me, but lived in Edinburgh and Glasgow for years where he met his wife and me and him both developed a massive fondness for Scotland and everything it was about. Loch Lomond was the last song at his wedding in 2011 and just listening to this now in 2023 5 months after he died - and I'm in floods of tears.

I own a bar in Amsterdam, cafe DIEP. 30 completely drunken Scots came in to watch the game. Holland - Scotland about ten years ago The Scots lost big time and i thought they might want to wreck my pub. But 30 minutes later we were all drunk and partying and the Scots were wearing orange and we were wearing dark blue and tartan caps. Fantastic experience to just be friends after the game. Same thing happend with the Irish once but we lost that game and didn't qualify because of a late McAteer goal. We get along very well with Scots and Irish somehow.

I was at this game among the danish fans. We are a small group of guys who for many years have been traveling around Europa watching the final away games. We have never felt more welcome but here in Scotland. You guys are simple the best. The kindness and hospitallity is just amazing. Outside the stadium I chatted with an old man and I complaines about the prices of single malt at the pubs. Imideally he pulled out a pocket lark and offered me a sip 🙂 Nice to se you're doing so well in the qualification !
