I just sang this song recently for my elderly ladies at the retirement home I worked at, as a goodbye gift

@@PeterHollens this is my second favorite song that my grandmother used to sing for me as I went to sleep. Thank you for bringing tears to my eyes as I listened. My favorite was Too-Ra-Loo-Ra-Loo-Ral (Irish Lullaby), and it would mean so much to me if you ever decided to sing it. It’s a beautiful song.

This has been a staple lullaby for my daughter since she was a wee bairn. As she's gotten older, she understands that it's a sad song and has asked why...I've never had the heart to tell her the full story on what the main interpretation of the song is believed to be about have told her it's a lament on not being able to go back home. This was such a beautiful collaboration and sweet blend of harmony and talent. Thank you so much for creating something so heartbreakingly beautiful.

Donuts?? Lucky 😂
@_somerandomguyontheinternet_3 жыл бұрын
That’s strange; my love of donuts was ruined for me today (or cream ones, at least). My classmate brought cream-filled donuts into Econ, saying they were for a project in her previous class. She let us have some, but then the teacher asked what project they were for. Turns out, she used them to model some parasite STD that is characterized by “yellow discharge.” She said this when the donut was in my mouth. I don’t think I’ll ever have a cream filled donut again.
