I really like your posts. You show a person can go out and catch fish without buying a $100K boat and motor and $15K in electronics and you use reasonably priced equipment that the average angler can afford. Really nice job!

Do you run your braid to your lure? Or a leader?

When I use braid on the Mississippi River I tie directly to the lure.

I agree on your bright line. I spooled a few reels up with it and it never affected the bite at all. Really it kind of helped. I thought it might need a leader but nope. Great tip

Do sauger taste any different than walleye?

I think they are very similar. The sauger are slightly better but you don’t get as much of a fillet because they are smaller fish on average.
