You are my favorite Steelers podcaster/KZbinr. You get me so hyped for our team. Fields IS the future of the Steelers. We got three beasts of linemen. Frazier could make all pro, Fautanu will be a cornerstone and McCormick is a mean man who should become a scary dude for defenses. Broderick Jones will be our left tackle. The guy is amazing, he just needs to keep a positive head space. Can't believe people were down on that young man. I'm excited for him. If Fields keeps progressing like he is, Arthur Smith keeps gaining trust and the team gets healthy then this team has as good a shot as anyone. Steelers Nation, here we go!

Great pod Brother! I agree, wouldve been a travesty if Frazier wasnt the game one starter. At least Webby had Mansfield in front of him his first two years and he was really good. Pouncey was the clear cut best Center in camp back in 2010. Steelers gotta play their young guns more and stop playin.

Fields ALLDAY - Wilson's not the future !!!! Fields needs all the playing time he can get w the 1s - he's only getting better - that 1 into wasn't even his fault - wr coulda caught it !! How bout the big accurate throws that he completed that came back because of penalty!? How bout the drops !? He has thrown a ball I can remember in harms way - some tight windows though !! The more he plays the more he develops understanding & chemistry of his teammates- his confidence will only grow - tgis kid has immense physical talent !!!! I hope he stays in there - i have nothing against russ other then his age - he's the more polished player - but you need to be able to move & he can't do that either !! We shoulda had 27 last game - Fields should have way more yards too - his completion % is awsum & he's checking down - showing growth - he needs better blocking too but the sky's the limit - what a steal !!!! I dont see him imploding but just the opposite!! Where would be have been taken in this last draft bro !? If he keeps getting better then this - this is a superbowl contender - but he's got to bring us back in some clutch moments for me to go all in & grab that jersey - I think it's comming- steelersbare very fortunate to get that kinda talent for a 6th rnd pick 😂 P.s Fields has played 3 of the tuffest defenses you could play 3 games in a row & showed out - can't forget that & he's got cuffs on him still !!!!

Although Russell Wilson represented immediate competency and Justin Fields represented postential for the future of the faranchise, if JF becomes the starter RW will still do a great job of supporting Justin's continued development with his signifigant experience. I do think it is wrong to side against RW while he has never had a chance to perform due to injury, I am accepting of reality and able to adjust accordingly. I don't need things to work out my way, just the best possible way for the sake of the franchise.

It is hard as fans to have uncertainty about our QB situation, but as long as Fields continues to do what he is doing the job is his. Like you said "Tomlin is many things but he ain't stupid." Tomlin is not going to ruin the chemistry. I do think he backed himself into a corner and is playing it safe. Fields is the future. And as long as he continues to perform the way he is one game at a time, he'll be the starter even when Russ is fully recovered.

@SteelersAlmighty I heard Tomlin got refs at the practice and that helped Jones with his penalties. But he did not look good against the chargers. He had missed blocks and both sacks on J fields was on his side

You were 100% spot on, so much so that I wound up listening to the entire podcast. Again, 100% spot on, well 95% if im being honest about that. By that I mean I disagree with your opinion of two 2024 NFL draft OT prospects, specifically Guyton and Fisher. I wanted Latham or Fuaga, didnt like Guyton or Fisher, but that's just me nitpicking.
