not sure if this is meta/back gaming but yeah the stuff behind the blue glow door is doesn't count towards the overall recycle amount and if you collect it, it also doesn't count for your total if you do it before your finish. also get up to factory lvl 2 early as it unlocks a bigger area, which includes storage lvl 2 which comes with designated storage spots for each type of material. your robots can drop stuff off at those locations. and you want to get crowbar as fast as possible as those chest contain rare goodies :-D. i can also tell you how to 100% open those with out struggle once he post a video of him trying it :-D.

When you sort the recyclables yourself, you get bonus scrap and reputation, but this can eat up your time in the day and is generally inefficient.

Switch the machines around. Then you can easily move the items and pallets across the front.

When you go to sort the recycling when you grab the items they have a color coded border of what bin it goes in

The sorter is probably faster than your current one. The one star sorter takes 30 seconds, and the 3 star sorter takes 5 seconds

My advice for the sorting employees is to pick the low wage guys because the only difference that they provide isn’t how fast they do the sorting when they are on the machine and a three dollar person does it 4 seconds vs I have one one star guy who does it at 16 seconds and one at 20 seconds. I don’t mind waiting
