31:38 I does amuse me that any time an actor does a spy related show/movie it's 'his Bond audition' [at the moment it's happening with Richard Madden's Citadel] when Layer Cake-a gangster movie-is usually acknowledged as what sealed the deal for Daniel Craig to become Bond. Ben Whishaw also co-stars and Mathew Vaughn would go on to make 'The Kingsman' series.

My mate summed this movie up for me perfectly years ago as "It's Quentin Tarantinos Only Fools & Horses". (Sorry Richard) It's odd because this had SUCH a buzz about it (as did Snatch) and the years of Guy Ritchie being this new turk on the scenes long since faded. Still. Entertaining flick.

Snatch was much more quotable, in the old playground. I still love it. It's a pastiche. London, America, Russia and gypsies. When their stereotypical gangsters/wannabes collide.

Snatch, in my opinion, is peak Guy Ritchie. I never saw LSATSB and will have to check it out based on this review. I enjoyed Sherlock Holmes 1+2, and The Man from UNCLE. I have no idea what he was trying to do with King Arthur: Legend of the Sword or Aladdin, those was just odd movies. Supposedly, The Covenant is very good.

I would never have thought of comparing Guy Ritchie to Quentin Tarantino it would make sense though. I've seen quite a few 18 and 15 certificate films when I was younger but saw them on home media, I think An American Werewolf in London was the first one that would have had an 18 at some point, Ginger Snaps was one ,a few of Danny Boyle films Shallow Grave, Trainspotting and 28 Days Later, Kill Bill films, Reservoir Dogs and Pulp Fiction. 15 Dog Soldiers maybe it was an 18 The Lost Boys might have been a 15. I've seen a few Martin Scorsese films on home media they would have been 18 too The Departed I lived abroad when i saw it so less strict rules same with Inglorious Basterds. There are too many to list but let's say some i was close to an age to see a film with 12 some comedies horror either 15 or 18 certificate films or those that contained swearing or disturbing content. Going back to Guy Ritchie I've seen Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, Snatch, RockNRolla, the Sherlock Holmes films with Robert Downey Jr, Aladdin the 2019 version and The Gentlemen. My dad saw Colin Farrell take a break while filming it in London since he lives there Farrell might have been annoyed at my father for maybe taking a peek at him. My dad recognised the cafe that they filmed it in nearby where he lives when I saw film with him. I think Aladdin is the weakest film I've seen from his filmography whereas first two films were groundbreaking i think and others I listed I found watchable

Guy Ritchie does give his gangster flicks an individual style which is very creditable [and he gave Jason Statham and Vinnie Jones a chance to start very successful acting careers]. 'Revolver' is a big swing and a miss but at least it's an attempt to do something different [to borrow from Roger Ebert on 'Naked Lunch-'I admire what he did...and I hated it!'].
