I have taken the lines off my reels, stretched them out on a field and then stored them in very large loops indoors (after a good clean). That way, they are in good condititon and have no memory. I paid £90+ for each line this season and I want to get the most out of them.
@TAFishing4 жыл бұрын
Good idea.Like all line ,keep out of the sunlight.
@davidb.70934 жыл бұрын
Graeme, great video. Can you or anyone out there explain to me where the soil goes? I noticed when you had finished splitting your plants and were re-planting them you used a lot of compost to bring the soil up to the right level. I'm for ever topping up my planter walls (once a year at least) because the soil level has dropped, why there is no soil on the ground! Same thing in my vegetable plots. Like the way you divide your plants but probably a bit to rough for dividing my Lupins. Slight concern over your mental health over the way you attacked the statue, I think the stress of this lockdown is having an adverse affect on you. Still you bring a smile to your fans, so keep posting. your garden is fabulous. As always you and your family stay well, and thanks for posting.

Hi Graeme, Did you say clean your fishing line? Is that just on your fly rod or on all your rods?
@TAFishing4 жыл бұрын
Fly line. Its goes on the ground every time you retrieve so is going to get covered in dirt at so stage,so wipe with a clean cloth before storing away.

It's a lovely bird the Red Kite but I was talking to a chap yesterday and like he pointed out to me "It isn't natural to see 14 of them hovering around your house all at the same time" This is in Mid Wales (We have a feeding station nearby, I've seen between 100-150 circling there at feeding time). They've also pushed the Buzzard out which is probably why you see more Buzzard in Southern England these days. Someone please tell the so called experts "You have to think of other species before you reintroduce another".
@TAFishing4 жыл бұрын
Probably right,just think of the Otter damage. I have filmed at the Wales feeding station and the Crows/Rooks swarm in first,then the Kites,which were like confetti. Even down South here there are Kites all over. I hope to put a film up shortly when my field outside was cut for hay and they came from everywhere,never seen so many at my place. Guess they learn to follow the tractors.
@matthewtanner98234 жыл бұрын
@@TAFishing Yes, the kites will follow tractors. Earthworms are also a part of their diet so they get the worms which come up after the vibrations of the tractor disturbes them. There's also mice left unprotected because of the grass being cut or taken off of them as it's turned. The otter have caused chaos here. They completely stripped my one mile stretch of the Ithon. It used to be a good chub river. Not any more! and when I told the EA, all they said was "It's not in an otter's interests to completely wipe out it's own food source" (Yeh right!). I told them to come and see for themselves but they wouldn't. I fish the Wye where you do at Hereford and have seen chub and Barbel caught missing fins etc. I warned that this was going to happen on the fishing Forums back in 2012 but just got laughed at and ridiculed.

Graeme, what part of the uk are you? You seem to be very dry in your area.
@TAFishing4 жыл бұрын
Hampshire..Mike is down in Somerset,just a couple of Counties further West but does seem to get more rain which runs over the West Country etc. I think we get drier because of the influence of Salisbury Plain in Wiltshire which is high...Think of the old saying.."The rain in Spain falls mainly on the plain"...It must be a saying from olden times about rain falling on higher plains.
