Hi Phil, yes, we put two nails into the grass on each leg of the canopy. I also use two guide ropes from an old awning to secure it. We only had the canopy out one afternoon and evening and put it away before bedtime. Next time I use it, I will do a quick explanation. Thanks for the idea 👍🏻 Joe always works his magic with the Cadac. Thanks for watching 😃🚐 Trev

FREEDOM!! sort of! Nice to see you back out in the caravan! The beach was gorgeous! Loved Joe's cooking. What is the neat fence you have around the campsite? I like that idea! As usual...another fabulous video, Trev and Sue! Take care- Canadian Trev and Sue!
@PoshcatsCamping4 жыл бұрын
Always lovely to know our Canadian Trev and Sue are watching, thank you. In the UK we traditionally used to have deck chairs and windbreaks on the beach. The windbreak is commonly used to provide shelter and privacy on the campsite but care should be taken not or offend neighbours. Some Caravanners have their entire pitch covered with these windbreaks to keep their dogs safe but we think that’s too extreme. A windbreak is handy when using the barbecue to reduce the smoke or stop the flame going out. Ours is rolled up and stored under the bed in the van. Take care 😃🚐 Trev n Sue
@HoneyandMe4 жыл бұрын
@@PoshcatsCamping I like the idea of the 'wind break'. I value privacy, but more than that, it would keep my dogs from seeing other dogs out for their 'walkies' and thinking they need to say hello in a very loud and annoying fashion. I'm lookig into this! Thanks-Sue

Good to see you guys on the road again after lockdown, how was that site for social distancing measures?
@PoshcatsCamping4 жыл бұрын
Like all sites there are notices up and the site owner spoke to all the campers personally. This makes it safer than big sites in my opinion. The pitches have sufficient space so no issues outside and they use fogging machines and deep clean the facilities (which we didn’t use). We felt very Covid safe. Thanks for your question 😁🚐 Trev

It’s really well manicured, plenty of space round the pitches and although near the A12 we didn’t really have an issue with noise. It’s tricky going in and out at peak times though. I was thinking an " on tow " sign on either side of the car on the front windows at a 45° angle would be helpful warning to other road users, because you don't come across many cars being towed nowadays and it might catch others out.
@PoshcatsCamping4 жыл бұрын
Hi Mark, yes I thought of that last season and visibility is one of the reasons I went for the white car. I had the choice of yellow or red also. Signs can be helpful but by the time you read a sign you have probably hit the car. It is law to have warning triangles and an on tow sign on the rear of the trailer which is effectively what the car is. We get away with a sign in the back window as a minimum. I may see if I can get some more magnetic signs as I think your idea is a good one. 👍🏻 Trev

There is a nearby small free car park at Cliftonville Road, Pakefield but we didn’t try to take the Motorhome there. We walked from the site through The Hollies caravan park to get to the beach then along to the ex Pontins Holiday Village and along the cliff.
