We ride around 50km a day hunting I suppose mate. There is an electric bike made in NZ which are good apparently. Forgot their name though.

Hunting with Stu UBCO, yeah that’s the one I’m looking at. It says 120km range at 40kmph all day. My problem is the 6-8 hour charge. NP with solar panels but the extra battery is $3K + . Love the idea, but perhaps not quite there.
@Diversionimages
@Diversionimages 4 жыл бұрын
I had experience as a rebreather scuba diver. It’s so, so quiet, that nature comes in and it’s amazing, with a rebreather, there is no noise from the bubbles and astonishing how many more species you can see. If electric bike are then same then they are a future we should look into,

Love your work Stu, would love to know what your scope mounted torch is and also what the torch is you use mounted under your lever. And also how you mount it if possible 😅
@HuntingwithStu
@HuntingwithStu 4 жыл бұрын
I use torches from Olight Australia mate, see the link below. The Adler shotty has a Pica tinny rail so I use that. On the 30/30 I use a magnet that holds the torch straight onto the metal magazine under the barrel and on the 30/06 I use a clamp that has a nut n bolt through the middle that tightens up on the scope and torch at the same time. They are the best torches mate. kzbin.info/door/a7SxNSPS2JhyUEJQenLZ-A

@salg5936
@salg5936 4 жыл бұрын
Yeah, I've had similar hunts myself. I predominately stalk Sambar deer. I've generally got plenty of time to prep for a shot given the nature of the hunt so I've only ever had to snap shoot twice in the entire time I've been hunting. Made both shots and most probably both flukes but I can imagine the difficulty of being able to pull off the shots that you do time and time again, especially free hand in a kayak. Calm water or not, I still believe it's a difficult shot. One that I could use plenty of practice on...Just out of curiosity, what make is your silver/grey scope on your rifle? I've never seen one in that colour before.

In Australia wild pigs are not native so they are hunted to keep their numbers down. They are a threat to our native flora and fauna. They sniff out and eat our native turtle eggs, baby turtles as just one example of their destruction to our land.
