here piggy piggy. The ole' 30-06 dishes out the damage. Took a young city lad out shooting his first time spotlighting last year on foxes. He pulled down a screaming good hit on a fox at 230 meters with 243Win. Mission accomplished. He was also pretty ok with the shotgun. The best way to preserve hunting, one of the oldest of human and natural activities, is to get new people involved with supervision.

Yep we get hooked on the rush, with our deer hunting we target one buck and the build up comes from seeing him in the summer and cannot hunt him till fall. Their patterns change and it builds that adrenaline rush when you finally get that shot. That rush has had me hunting my entire life from rifle to bow from short distance to long distance. Just a rush junkie for life. Good Hunting My Friend.

Us Americans get so nutty about calibers and loads and guns and scopes. Nice to see someone all about hunting. Most important thing is to shoot straight which you do obviously. Might be time for a new barrel though! One question, hard to tell from the video, what are the ranges of your shots?
@HuntingwithStu4 ай бұрын
Thanks mate, yes all my guns are workers, no 'range queens' in my gun safe. At night with the thermal shots are around 30m. Running shots during the day around 50m and the odd shot out to 100m so no real long range stuff.

Hello Stu, I think I often saw you use a 30-06? Being a hog hunter myself far away from you I am interested in your favourite bullet and bullet weight in this caliber. Keep up the great work, mate 🎉🎉 🎉
@HuntingwithStu4 ай бұрын
Hi mate, yes I use a 30/06 and my fav projectiles are the 150grn well constructed bullet. Any bullet maker like Speer, Hornaday etc. 180rgrn too heavy and 130grn too light. 150 also 165 are just right.
@weltempfanger89294 ай бұрын
@@HuntingwithStu thank you. I used 165gr, just fine, but prefer 180gr. You may consider this as madness, but till 100yrds I used Hornady 220gr and they were great
