I used to be the guy that got to the top of the backswing then arms/chest/pelvis all went at the ball together. What helped me with getting more separation was basically this drill plus not actively/consciously moving the arms until I started posting up on the left leg. Let the squat and pelvis rotation bring the club down first. Feeling based, but might help someone else.

The hair is so OP now. Thanks for the great lesson. My wife is really working on getting the hips turning first. This helps a lot.

I'm aware of that, i'm also aware that lots of people are in lockdown, which is why I'm making some video for practice during lockdown, and some videos where it isn't =)

As always, great video. I know this is a torso separation lesson, but I’m waiting for an arm/chest separation lesson. Your past videos have suggested “pinning” arms to the chest, which low-handicappers just don’t do.

Great video, as usual. When the pelvis is square to the ball, after the initial squat, what is the weight on each foot? At the top, it was 80% on the inside heel of the right foot. I'm guessing it's either 50/50, or possibly more on the left foot. Additionally, when do you start pushing off with the right (turning right foot clockwise, ie "cardboard drill" from Use Your Feet video) relative to this sequence? Thanks!

Been trying to do this by imagining a ball 2 feet back from the real one.Works a treat.Sadly not stopping me being a little to steep and early extending.Hopefully thats in lesson 2. Many thanks.
