Lockdown wines - great Riojas - Episode 8 Muga, CVNE Imperial

the Muga Reserva, especially 2015 is an amazing bottle of red, and so is Imperial, one of the greatest expressions of CVNE there is. Sadly the crianza CVNE seems to be popping up in the UK and elsewhere in a watered down fashion, which I hope to find out why at some point!

do you know what fish do in water? There is a lot of hoo haa in wine tasting from spitting to slurping which is clear why you do it if you are being paid to taste or have massive variations in wine to taste but is really not needed if you are drinking riojas, or needed to see that cvne crianza they have sold for a few years in the UK is clarete dross. the cvne crianza they sell in Spain is totally different, no idea why they are doing it.

You are tasting these wines one after the other without a break to your palate and expect the viewer to believe your comments? I have been drinking CVNE since 18 years old and have never been disappointed, I am 79 today, you should be more sober before you go on line, VG Ca.
