The best thing about this whole video , it’s none got hurt but the way they put thr leg up at the window when thr looking inside to see what’s taking so long. Ya gotta understand thr on a schedule and they know when thr meals are ready. And if the keepers are late they know it and get restless just like a human does

Amazing how this is like an exact replay of the famous vid that kicked this channel off like a decade ago. Only shifting was smart enough not to get in Oumbi’s path, unlike big bro. I never actually knew Lope copied that leg kick up from his father. Crazy how much children learn by mimicking in the the wild. Gorillas get pretty stressed when there are random changes to access points in their home environment, it's not good for their wellbeing at all. Although I don't think the management at this zoo cares much about gorilla mental health.

They do everything possible in this situation when maintenance has to be done. Like here, they separated the lower ranks. You wouldn't want the gorillas to get hurt either, because they're is something not right in the main area and needs repairing.

This was due to the inside maintenance work. So it took a lot longer. They're normally separated and locked in the back room when they get fed inside.

@toby099 it's mostly bluff exerting their dominance. They are actually more gentle than people think and they love their families and are protective of their families. And some Silverbacks are more laid back. They have different personalities.
