Yeah...I just came upon this video and am fairly mild-mannered...and I would have said something to her within the first few times she said that. That she was his side chick and she was sleeping with him when she knew you were with him and might have been pregnant with his kid...and she's n-o-t my kid's step child and she is n-o-t "family". Yes, I don't see why Jessica felt she had to be so diplomatic...even on the "outside" of prison, I would have reacted the same, telling her what's what...I don't know anybody who wouldn't have.

So much truth when you said, "it taught me all the flaws that I had". There's no doubt in my mind that I would not be who I am today had I not been arrested many years ago. I often feel those in long term recovery are some of the healthiest (mentally) people. We have dug so deep to truly work on ourselves. Recovery also has some of the most self aware people you'll ever meet. I often wish everyone worked a program like those in recovery do. The world would be a much better place, I know that! Also, wanted to thank you for speaking out about so many important issues and just showing people that recovery IS possible! No one is EVER too far gone! No one believed I would EVER make it yet here I am over 8 years later! You're a beautiful person inside and out and you are doing such an important, meaningful thing with your channel. Her attempts to attach might have reflected the same loneliness you felt-and that safer than, say, jealous hostility; after all, she could have viewed you as you viewed her, and acted on that. Uncomfortable though it may be, an ally is better than an enemy.

@@youtubeuser7867 It's not "mental maths;" it's sense of self. Rage is not the only option, in or out of pregnancy: rather, one has to be disposed to it. Putting that much negative pressure against a situation is counterproductive; At some point one either learns to stop or self destructs..Yes, prison requires wariness against worst-case scenarios; but putting a bad read on something with no apparent bad outcome is quite another matter (or mother).

I have had a experience with the system that made a mistake and released me and as soon as I walk out of county jail literally walked out with a police officer telling me to put my hands behind my back. Got arrested again for not showing up to “court”. I was in court the court holding cells chained up, somehow they didn’t care to even ask for me or check who I was. Never got my name called and got sent back to get released and rebooked !!! I was chained up waiting for them to call me but, ethier they didn’t even know I was there or someone wasn’t doing there job. I had to deal with serious traumatic problems I have anxiety attacks and can’t sit still every time I get inside a room I just want to Pace back-and-forth it’s a thing I use to do every time I did in cells to not freak out from anxiety of feeling trapped. Sorry never been sober enough to share this story until now. I was treated like nothing because I am an addict and still do especially with my close family. People point out the things I tell them make me feel ashamed of my addiction. “Visible difference in weight ext” to try to make me stop whitch furthers me into the cycle from not wanting to feel that shame or guilt. Sorry I never talk about this part of my life.

If the family is far away, they usually don’t do that unless the parental rights have been terminated to give the parent a better chance at seeing their child and getting them home. It’s actually a good sign when DHS doesn’t ship your kid off, even though being with strangers can be traumatic.
