I can tell you this,the Bengals are doing everything they can to protect the franchise QB. They know as long as Joe Burrow is their quarterback they have a legitimate shot at making several Super Bowls during his career.

I think the term injury prone has a stigma behind it. Injury prone means “frequently injured or often sustaining injuries” . It has nothing to do with why, it simply means are you injured a frequently. We can name a handful of issues dating back to college with Joe Burrow. Regardless of the circumstances, i think Joe Burrow by definition is injury prone. That doesn’t make him weaker or unreliable, but he has had an injury prone start to his career. To be fair, it’s an injury prone sport.

Broken hand (college) Broke rib (college) ACL (freak accident) Appendectomy (freak medical incident) Thumb injury Throat injury (?) Mcl sprain in Super Bowl Calf Wrist Love Joe but he is injury prone, and that’s okay because it doesn’t make him any less of a player and he does everything he can to play through it. He’s not an Ironman thus far in his career but everyone has limitations. I’ll take him on the coin flip he goes the full season because he’s better than everyone else not named Mahomes and can give him a run for his money year in and year out

@desmonddaly484
@desmonddaly484 4 ай бұрын
Well, having a reliable run game and play action game, and some under center would likely make life a lot easier on Joe Burrow. If they could find that balance, I think it would serve the offense well, and make injuries less likely. If his knee (already treated) and wrist injury recover (as hypothesized) there’s no reason why Joe Burrow can’t play great at 100%. If they can acknowledge the risk that comes with taking so many QB hits in empty, again, probably a good idea to have a solid run game, which helps play action (in terms of keeping the QB clean)… so… I’d say Joe Burrows health, is fine, but worth considering adaptability by Dan and Zack and for a healthy, efficient, offense.

No, he’s not. Appendicitis and ACL injury were not his fault. At most I’d say his calf might lead one in that direction. The wrist-no way. The play before the ligament snapped when he hit his hand on another helmet set the stage. Stuff happens. IMO the wrist injury was worse than the ACL. It’s a really bad injury and I’m surprised he’s as far along in his recovery as he is.

Joe Burrow only had those season ending injuries because he wasn't going to win the Super Bowl until his 5th year, the 2024 season Look at it like this. Joe was always going to win his first Super Bowl in his 5th year because the Bowl is in New Orleans and he went to LSU. So he gets drafted in 2020 and he's not gon win his first Bowl til his 5th year which means no matter what for his first 4 years he's not winning. So what is the best outcome for Joe's overall perception so he's not perceived as a player that just can't get it done? Injuries. Because if Joe never got injured then people would view him differently than how they view him now. They would view him as a player that can't get it done because he would have lost 4 years in a row. But since Joe was injured in 2020 Super Bowl appearance in 2021 AFC Championship Game in 2022 Another injury in 2023 This doesn't make Joe look like a player that just couldn't get it done. So since he wasnt going to win til his 5th year the best outcome for his overall perception was for him to have 2 years injured and 2 years close to winning it all So Joe is not injury prone. Joe was given those injuries to protect him from looking like a bust or a player that cant get it done

im not sure injury prone is a real thing. it might just be the luck-of-the-draw. Was Andrew Luck injury prone? we see him as such but he just got injured enough times he had to hang it up. Tyler Eifert had a promising career go off the rails because of injury, about the same time , Gronk had a bunch of injuries but was still able to have a great career. The NFL is a very physical game with super human athletes who do things the body isnt able to handle. Burrow could go the rest of his career without a serious injury. He could also go down at any time. So could anyone else in the NFL

Be gone, troll. Or grow up. One or the other applies here. What these adults are doing, is having a fair and educated discussion. They want Joe and the Bengals to succeed. Their first job though, isn’t to be fanboys, like yourself. Their first job is to report on and discuss the news and narratives surrounding the Bengals. If you don’t like that, there are plenty of places you can get your news as well as listen to people that tell you what you want to hear, for clicks and views. Also, were you just outraged by the title? If you watched, you would’ve gotten about 1/3 of the way in before they came to the conclusion that no, he’s not injury prone.
