Yeah great take! I really think that he could be a solid starter. We all know how great McDermott is at developing safeties, and having him ready to be a long term key to the defense will allow the defense to rebuild to the solid unit it has been in years past. That’ll let them focus on other players!

Agree, or at least a decent chunk of the snap share, rotate him between both spots, let him get comfortable in both spots before playoffs and be ready to step in anytime at either spot.

Bishop got burned for deep TD's by peeking into the backfield vs the Ravens and then again vs the Texans. A great way to stay on the bench as a safety is to get burned over the top in consecutive games because you are peeking into the backfield just like you did in college. He's a long way from starting at this level.

I’ve got a spin on what my rooting interests are. I don’t care if the Broncos make the playoffs or not. But I rooted against them Thursday and I’ll root against them next week. I want them to be put in the position where they have to beat the Chiefs Week 18 to make the playoffs. For that same reason, I want the Steelers to lose Saturday. That will create a desperation to beat the Chiefs week 17 in order to hold onto the AFC North. My rooting interests are 100% about creating two teams strong incentive to beat the Chiefs. The 1 seed is a relative long shot, but I want the best shot possible.

Got to keep that O-line solid! That’s what kept Tom Brady playing at GOAT level for so long. Run game, O-line, capable handed weapons and defensive head coaches. I really hope we keep Joe Brady for one more year next year (at least) so that Allen can really master his unit, so that any OC replacement won’t negatively impact the team, since let’s face it, they won’t be as good as Joe Brady. If Allen has mastered the Joe Brady scheme, it won’t matter.

Not at home. We make it tough on rookie QB’s and being at home exacerbates that. Their defense and o-line is so bad. In our AWAY Pats game, either we will have everything to play for (lock up a particular playoff seed) or we will have nothing to play for. That one won’t be a trap game either. The Jets often play us tough, but I’m not worried about the Pats games.

About the seeding implications of Ravens-Steelers you bring up in the tail end of this video. I’d rather the Steelers win. The Ravens are a bad matchup for us, regardless of Lamar’s past performance and record in the postseason. I’d rather risk going to Pitt (or hosting them as the 2-seed) than having to deal with Baltimore in the divisional round. Let them and the Chiefs duke it out in a 1 vs 5 battle.

Things are shaping up well for the Bills to get one seed. The Chiefs may be facing three desperate teams the last 2 weeks of the season. Today the Texans can expose their OL and perhaps win a game in Arrowhead. Steelers should lose Sunday meaning they will be angry next week against Chiefs. Hoping the Broncos lose next Sunday against Cinci meaning they would have to beat the Chiefs to make the playoffs.
