Love the show Joe. Long time listener first time commenter. I want to say that despite the loss to KC. I’m grateful today. No one gave us a chance this year. I felt McDermott coached better this year and is progressing. We had an excellent run game. We did what no other team did in beating KC, ravens, and the lions. We have Josh Allen who completely changed the narrative on his turnovers. We have a ton of draft capital next year. Some dead money off the books and a great GM salivating at a reset. I have been watching your "Locked on Bills" for about 5 years from Seoul, Korea. I can feel your disappointment after today's game. Joe, I would like to say "Thank you for your effort." You have been providing me with valuable information regarding the Bills throughout a year. I used to live in Rochester from 1988 to 1994 and was a season-ticket holder in 1992 and 1993. Yes, I remember "wide right" and also was in Rich Stadium watching "the game" against the Oilers. Of course, my heart was broken when the Bills lost four consecutive Super Bowls. But life goes on. When I think back on this season, I think of the early podcast when you told us to just sit back and enjoy the game. The Bills don't have any game wreckers/pro bowlers/difference makers on defense. Each of these guys can make a play or two throughout the season, usually against lesser competition, and that's it. They continually pass on taking the obvious players in the draft cause they don't fit their scheme. Ed Oliver 2019, Epenesa 2020, Rousseau 2021. All first round picks that disappear. Outside of Ed and Milano, the rest of the defense was playing two hand touch.

The catch process, and therefore possession, was shared by the offense and defense. When the ball touched turf, it didn't move, so it's a 50/50 catch-which always goes to the offense. But nevermind that... There was a flag for obvious holding on the Bills, so it's 1st down in the redzone for KC no matter what.

How many times do we need to be out-coached by the Chiefs before we realize that this team brings out the worst in us? 13 seconds, missed field-goals, and now Brady calling plays that didn’t work. This team passes on the obvious picks more often than not. The fan base rationalizes it all even when they fail in these circumstances. Keon is not a difference maker. He’s a project. Just like Rousseau. No one is worried about stopping these players. They aren’t play makers. All I can say is that they need to trade for a Maxx Crosby or draft one. Draft a speed/skills receivers for once. I’m tired of it.

Also hoping for a trade up to land either Cooper Dejean or T'vondre Sweat as my next choices in Rd 2. I had Keon no earlier than a late 3rd Rd prospect. Overall landing McConkey would've immediately replaced everything Diggs was and given the Bills a true #1 elite high volume target. Instead we're stuck yet again with the same problems having a wr corp that's awful at gaining seperation.

Went into this game expecting the loss. Taught myself a lesson from last year not to get confident because KC just knows how to get it done. And I’m still so damn sad about this loss. It’s crazy how this loss hurts the most even tho I didn’t expect us to get here, and still expected us not to make it to the SB. Still hurts This team made me proud with all the changes that they made in the off season and showed they can be one of the best with almost whoever is on the team behind Josh Allen. Makes me hopeful going forward, but it just makes me think how excited I felt 4 years ago after we lost in this stage before. And that pretty much led no where. I’m just numb atp. KC finally scores over 30 points and it happened on our watch. Blame can be placed on all sides of the ball. Props to Bass for doing his part though. On a side note, the NFL has a serious officiating issue they refuse to fix and the playoffs put their dereliction on blast this season. Viewers spend a lot of $ in this horrible economy and frustrations have loudly surfaced. Games no longer feel authentic and are tough to watch. Something needs to change quickly.

I really don't understand how when the receiver has one hand on the ball, and the defender has two hands on the ball, and the ball does not move when it hits the ground under those conditions, how that is not ruled an interception.

Elam shouldnt ever be on a roster, NEED a different defensive scheme man our defense is swiss cheese when it matters most. was so hyped for keon and the ONE thing he was supposed to be good at he really didnt do all season, no seperation but just an athletic specimen who can go and make a play in the air, just didnt come thru. just didnt really feel like we were in it today was shakey from the jump. outcoached and outplayed plain and simple. greaat season but really was a bust we know what allen is capable of and every year we fall short just feels like a wasted season. major changes need to be made

Allen has carried this team while Beane has made it impossible to get over the hump with his poor drafting.

Joe.... KC has been eating our lunch in the off season AND at the Draft. Once again... they traded with the Bills and took Xavier Worthy... who has turned into serious PLAY MAKER...while we end up with Coleman who is at best going to end up a second tier receiver. Not to mention hte Chiefs end up getting Mahomes on a draft trade with the Bills. Bottom line... we have to admit.... the KC coaching staff out coaches the Bills staff in the Post Season. Spagnola shut down the tush push the Bills relied on all year... and they had no alternative.. nothing. The still telegraphed the tush push on 4th down and the Chiefs stuffed them almost every time. Josh had ONE good run... other than that he was SHUT DOWN. HUGE part of Buffalo's game. I think Beane and McDermott should block KC calls during the draft... simply so the Chiefs don't make them look stupid again. To alter this downward spiral... I would cut Lilar Elam LOOSE... I would trade Dalton Kincaid, because after 2 years I think it is clear he is NOT a play maker... he is NOT the second coming of Travis Kelcy. Get a draft pick for him Then DRAFT some BEEF for the defensive line... commit to a 4 - 3 defense instead of this light brigade they seem to adhere to. Ed Oliver had a good game... but the second tier ... including Bernard and Milano... missed tackle after tackle. Find some free agent safeties and either draft or get a stop gap Corner and let Rasul Douglas go. Is there anyway to cut #40?? They need a SPEED receiver... one who WINS with good hands. Let Amani Cooper go... useless. So many things that need changing to ever have a chance to beat a KC team that I see as much less than what they were in the past. But I guess as long as the CHiefs have the Bills to trade with on Draft day... they will always have enough to beat the Bills. Oh... one other thing... SIGN HOLLINS... he is a playmaker.. he is CLUTCH.. like Shakir.

Some data and a question for you: There's a stat that goes back to the days of the Vince Lombardi/Bart Starr Packers teams: No team has ever started the same quarterback under the same head coach for more than five years and seen that duo win its first championship. It took Noll/Bradshaw, Holmgren/Favre, Dungy/Manning, and Harbaugh/Flacco five seasons to win it all. Most of the winning duos were able to do it in under four seasons. A coach and QB who did not win a title during their first five seasons together have NEVER won the Super Bowl. So, looking solely at that historical data as a guide, the window for McDermott and Allen has closed. Every season from here on out in which the Bills trot out McDermott and Allen as the duo, that's effectively the Pegulas and Beane telling us that they think this duo can be the first in history to do it after seven years of not making it. What actual evidence do we fans have to believe the wishful thinking that this duo will become that outlier? Allen is elite, however I'm not sold on the argument that McDermott is going to figure it out. But I'm also under no illusion that ownership will do anything but keep McDermott, so this is all academic, but I'd like your take on that historical data. Thanks and looking forward to the draft... You can't plan for nerves taking hold in a game like this. It felt like watching 3 of the 4 Super Bowls losses. They came out flat and got smashed in the face. Played scared the rest of the game, including Brady's play calling. Why go away from what was working for most of the season? Let the o-line set a tone and get Cook involved in the short passes. Chasing 2 pt plays made no sense when you can't predict what you'll need that early in the game. Stop the damn tush push if you are getting stopped on it or at least fake it once. How can we NOT say this was poor coaching? Joe and Sean saw that the tush push wasn't working. The Chiefs figured that out right away. Elim was not an asset either. I can go on and on withcthe mistakes we made, but Joe, you covered all that.I feel like we're living in Groundhog's day every year. Sean can get us to the playoffs but not the SB. Doesn't that in itself speak volumes? What do we have to do to get there? This isn't jist about the players, it's about the coaching. Josh deserves better than this. I did not expect Josh to look like a deer in the highlights for this game. This team has been in plenty of national spotlight games by now to know how to handle them. They came out flat and went away from what had been successful for them. It does feel like coaching but they also aren't drafting impact players on either side of the ball. Josh has covered a lot of warts with his play. Just didn't have enough help at the end again.

KC defense reminds me of defenses from the 1980’s and bills defense for years now are so soft. When the bills don’t get turnovers it’s a long day because they are small and can’t stop the run , or cover.

This is just too painful. This has become an unhealthy addiction. If I could, I’d erase this team from my memory. The disappointment is too great. I’ve been a fan since 1989. I went through the four Super Bowl losses as a little kid, then through the Brady era (our drought), and here we are. We finally have a stud QB, and it’s in an era with Mahomes. It’s unbearable.
