I'm a Bills fan from The Netherlands. I got into American Football through covering my local team (Lightning Leiden) for a local radio station. Even though that coverage amounted to a few two minute segments years ago, I never stopped watching. Somehow I fell in love with the sport, and through it the Bills. Keeping up with the team can be very hard, but your channel has been a huge help.

I'm nervous before EVERY game. Every single one, and tomorrow is going to be a LONG day for me. I don't know what will happen tomorrow evening, but I'm an old guy now and vividly remember the four years in a row SB appearances. It was magical going to the first one - at least the day they beat the Raiders and that whole week awaiting the big game. I'll never forget driving home from work on championship Sunday screaming to myself that the Bills are going to the SUPER BOWL!!!!!!!!! For any younger people who weren't around back then, well, I worked in downtown Buffalo at a restaurant, and when I tell you the ENTIRE city was on a high all week long (The first Gulf War was going on so there was only a one week period between the championship games and the SB) and it was like a long holiday celebration. All week long the only way I could describe it would be the feeling was equatable to how kids feel on Christmas Eve all day long - and it lasted all week long. Total strangers waving and cheering people who had Bills gear on (which was just about everyone). I hope to GOD that they win tomorrow night and bring that excitement back because the Bills and Buffalo totally deserve that. I'm no longer in Buffalo but rock my love for the Bills, literally, on the back window of my Tacoma with a decal year long and with my Bills gear watching football on Sundays in the local sports bar here in Cleveland. It'll take a mistake free game, but I can tell you most of the country is rooting for them to do it. Let's just get it done!

We are owed some luck I remember that 90 Super Bowl against the giants and it was 2 plays that cost us that superbowl. #1 - when Bruce sacked Hosteteller in the end zone for a safety Bruce’s hand had his wrist and how hosteteller held on to the ball is unbelievable watch the play in slow mo wow that was a TD instaed we get a safety and obviously the missed field goal, the music city miracle, kelly’s perfect strike to Ronnie Harmon and it was dropped in Cleveland in 1989 ,13 seconds and I’m sure I missed a few but damn we are definitely owed one . Go Bills.

I am going to my husband's dear friend's memorial service that starts at 4pm tomorrow (probably a bit cold of me that my stomach dropped when I heard that). I will of course cry for my husband and the family's pain. On the "bright side," I may just be emotionally tired enough to simply enjoy the game and not hide in the bedroom and track it on espn. @@michaelhenry8890 you are crazy since he came back from suspension he was second in pressure rate among edges in the entire NFL. His run defense has been at an all pro level as well. You should look at the advanced stats before you say stupid shit on the Internet. Von has been awesome and they have been saving him all year for this game this will be his highest snap share of the year. Throwing the fact that they're among the worst tackle group in the NFL maybe the worst and yeah Von should definitely be getting at least one sack.

Thing to think of regarding Chiefs defense, you can’t really go off majority of their regular season stats, or game against Bills, because they got two huge players back late, biggest one right at end of season. When Watson left, their defense suffered badly but he’s now back-Watson looked pretty good from injury and will now be better. Also their O Tackles are not great but it’s going to be a bit better than regular season numbers. Simply put, the “it feels like” “it’s our time” and “this is it” isn’t how or why games are won.

@ I wanna see if we can run the ball right into their stacked box successfully. Denver brought their safeties down against Buffalo and have a better run defense in Kansas City and we were still able to run on them. When Baltimore brought their safeties down we were not able to run on them.

@@Stockhandle123I feel like the Bills sticking to the run game was a dry run for KC. If we can run against their big boys up front, we can run against anyone. KC did a good job stopping the run in the first matchup, but their run game has gotten worse and the Bills were missing an offensive lineman. Davis and Johnson have also been more productive, and Allen will have his Superman cape at the ready (it was being ironed last game!) If KC does sell out against the run, good, bring it. Shakir and Knox and Coleman can step up and eat. That doesn’t work, maybe Amari Cooper can get some, or Keon Coleman. The beauty of everybody eats is that most teams aren’t good enough to shut down everybody. I believe that the Ravens were the best suited team to do that, and they came up short. KC has a chance to stop them and will throw wrinkles, but I can’t really think of a good way for them to stop the Bills consistently, meaning KC will be doing what the Bills do and try to rely on a creative defensive scheme to disrupt the Bills and force mistakes. They’ve got home field advantage which helps them with that as well. Solution: score early and often. Put them in a hole, drain the clock, be smart and safe. Force KC to kick field goals, and score touchdowns. If the refs are going to glaze Mahomes and give him free 15 yard penalties just for looking at him, hit him extra hard to at least make the play worth it. This is the Bills time to shine, so go out there and play not to win, but to destroy!!!

I have said all year long that the Bills have what it takes, but must be fully healthy to win a Super Bowl since they lack the depth of previous years. Rapp is out, and some other players are banged up after a heavyweight brawl with the Ravens. The question to me is: did that game exact too heavy of a toll on the Bills for them to go out there and beat the team that has put them down in heartbreakers in seasons past? Yeah, they’ve freaking got it. Last year, the Bills were too depleted to stop KC’s offense, and could only really slow them down. This time, the Bills might not be as talented on paper, but they’ve got almost all of the guys who have started all season long back, plus Matt Milano looking like a star again. Not having Rapp will really hurt, but Sean McDermott is the safety guru, and I am confident that he will be dialing up a solid scheme to take down Kelce, box in Mahomes, and make him make mistakes. One thing that I would like to point out is how everyone is saying hoe Mahomes threw two interceptions against the Bills, but got it together and hasn’t thrown another one since. I’m not the guy who’s going to say that he is due. I am the guy who’s going to remind everyone that those clean games were against the Panthers, Raiders, Chargers, Browns, Texans twice, and Steelers. All of those teams were either playoff pretenders or complete nobodies this season. Only one good defense out of the bunch, and Sean McDermott is the best defensive coach by far out of all of them. I am not going to underestimate KC, but this isn’t KC’s offense of 2021-22. This is a team with a lot less talent and experience, and a vulnerable O-line. I also expect Reid to have drawn up counters to the McDermott/Babich scheme that really confused Mahomes in the first matchup. That being said, the Bills have Matt Milano back. He should help contain Mahomes and Kelce, and with the right game plan, the Bills should be able to disrupt Mahomes enough to prevent him from being able to target the Bills safeties. On offense, KC isn’t as solid as they were last year. The Bills put up points against a sturdy KC defense last year. This year, KC’s defense is more vulnerable and the Bills offense is better. Oh yeah, and we have Kincaid and Coleman and Brown back. I watched the Houston Texans, who did nothing special run game wise all year, run all over Kansas City. The Bills ran the ball well against the Ravens and Broncos, two of the best run defenses in the NFL. Last year, Cook was a bit cooked by the end of the season due to him being the guy who did almost all of the running back work. This year, Davis and Johnson have really diversified the run game. Throw in Josh Allen’s Superman cape, and the O-line being at full strength, and the Bills should really run the ball. If that doesn’t work, and I expect KC to really game plan for the run, hit those tight ends and Shakir as Joe says. I wouldn’t mind seeing Cook targeted as well, as he hasn’t had a reception in a while. That’s the beauty of everybody eats- you can’t shut down everybody! However, KC is going to try their damn best to do it, with some nasty surprises. Keep the ball safe, everybody well fed, and Josh Allen’s Superman cape ready to go for this one!! Oh yeah, and that leaves special teams. I haven’t had a single shred of doubt in my mind about Tyler Bass since he nailed that 63 yard beauty. He’s been solid. I know that he can overcome the power of that stupid rat thing KC has that shakes the goal post every time he goes to kick the ball. I also have been a big fan of his kickoffs so far this season. Everybody else- just stay nice and composed and do your job!! The Bills have done everything right to get to this spot. The best part is the energy this year. In the 2021 season, the team got cut short too early, and in 2022, the Bills continued off where they left off, peaking in that first game against the rams and trailing off every game after that. In 2023 all looked lost, but firing Dorsey and bringing in Brady sparked the offense. The defense was so injured they couldn’t quite get it done, and in 2024, the Bills started a rebuild year. It’s been a pretty good rebuild year, as with a ragtag group of offensive weapons which no team in the league would trade their top weapon for any piece (except for Allen), and a defense that lost so many key players, they’ve made it to the AFC CHAMPIONSHIP GAME!!!!! We all went from considering the season a success if we even sniffed the playoffs as a wildcard team to considering the season a failure if the Bills don’t win this game by three scores! This is probably my favorite season as a Bills fan, nomatter how this game goes. Regardless, I know this team ain’t going home without a win, and the energy and roster are right to do it!

Joe in recent years I’ve of course rooted for our Bills and have even convinced myself every year that it was our year and found a way to justify myself for thinking that, but every one of those years it’s been to no avail!! So after last years heartbreak i told myself I was gonna make a conscience effort to not to put myself in that position again especially bc the truth is even though I wanted that with everything in me n convinced myself to even think that, when game day came I was always still nervous and on edge and then ultimately disappointed, so heading into this season I’m not going to allow myself to build that much confidence in the Bills that if they lose it was to effect me so much, but here’s the difference, this year and this team i genuinely feel are different and I haven’t even been nervous in these playoffs bc idk how to best explain it but instead of hoping or having to convince myself we’re gonna win i just feel it in my bones unlike ever before,in fact last week i messaged you on here saying I was glad you predicted the Bills win and came back to our side bc i wasn’t sure you felt that way entering that week n tbh i was most nervous for that game of any of these playoff games but something inside me knew we were gonna pull it off and I can’t explain it but I feel the same way still as I’m posting this 2 hours before the game and I haven’t had to convince myself or justify them winning to myself once yet bc everything truly just feels different from the team and JA17 even to McDermott and the coaching in general and even to my personally energy entering each game and my gut feeling!!! It’s our year Joe and I truly feel and believe that for the first time ever!!! Now idk yet obviously if that means anything in the big picture but it feels 100% right to me!! And in all my almost 40 years of being alive n watching football I’ve never had this feeling or felt so strongly about anything football or sports related,i don’t have a gauge on winning the Superbowl or not yet whatsoever but everything in my bones is telling me we’re going to the Superbowl Joe, hopefully my intuition is on point and if so hopefully it carries all the way through the Super Bowl but as weird as it sounds( even to me as it’s coming out of my mouth right now lol)i will be more suprised at this point if we lose today to the Chiefs!!! That’s how strongly I feel about it, being fully transparent though i honestly cannot even tell you why other than what I’ve said n that I just feel it!! No this last part is more just my thoughts than feeling but I also think we’re going to win pretty handily, my prediction is by all least 2 possessions so by about 10 points or so gonna say we win 34-23 but once again these aren’t part of my gut feeling on the W just personal predictions for a little added fun, sorry for the length of this message but I love your content n felt that first part so strongly I had to get it off my chest and wanted to share with the other biggest Bill fan i know of!!! My heart says Bills but my mind says Chiefs will find some way to win this game and become the 1st 3 peat Super Bowl winner. The Bills are so close but we just lack the star power on defense and wide receiver. We need a Chris Jones & Eric Molds type player.

They have better WRs, TEs, RBs, and OL than KC. Cooper and Shakir are each better than any WR on their current roster. They haven't slowed Allen down in a game on offense in like 4 years. This is by far the most diverse and best iteration of Buffalo's offense in the Allen era. KC's defense isn't as good as it was at this time last year and Allen put up 24 on them with Trent freaking Sherfield as his starting X on the boundary and no defense. Should've had more and won if not for drops by WRs. Their advantage are real. KC's offense is mid and so is their OL with Thuney playing LT. Buffalo's defense is also pretty healthy and just showed out against 2 better offenses. Just hold them to a few FGs in the red zone and Buffalo wins by 2 scores.

@@wyomingtrout5581 meh. They really didn't do much against Houston's defense even though they left Kelce completely uncovered and wide open 4-5 times. That ain't happening when the entire game plan will be centered around him by Buffalo. He's at a point where guys like Benford and Milano can carry him in man coverage and hold up fairly regularly. He's obviously great and still a legit threat, but they really shut him down completely in the reg season matchup without Milano being available. I think they have the horses to force them into trying to feature Brown and Worthy on deep routes (lower % success rate) and commit to running the ball where they're not very good in the first place. I think the OLs have been the difference in the past and now Buffalo's is WAY better this year. They win this game for them.

@wyomingtrout5581 in that context think of Allen is a universal level jinx/curse buster. They've been exorcising those demons since breaking the drought in 2017. They weren't able to get over the hump in the divisional because they couldn't keep their then aging team healthy enough to truly compete against the eventual AFC super bowl reps. Probably ran it back 1 year too long in 2023 with some of those guys. If they can get that major SB monkey off their back with a solid but unspectacular defense this year, they're setup nicely with draft picks for a wide open type of window. Fix 1 tech and DE in the draft next year and maybe even make a splash move for a guy like Crosby after cutting Von loose. Cap is in great shape moving forward.

If the Bills cannot manage to get KC off the field on 3rd/4th down at least a few times I have trouble seeing how they can win this game with how clutch Reid/Mahomes are in these types of games. I also hope McDermott is willing to be aggressive on defence. That way even if they get burned at least it will be quickly. The more time Allen can spend on the field the better the Bills chances to win will be.

Our 3rd down defense is crucial in this game! It’s been terrible this whole year. We’ll have to improve our 3rd down defense efficiency to win this game! It’s usually the db’s or safeties giving up a play right over the middle in a soft zone 🤦🏾 We also need to use ALL running backs! Ty and Davis are really effective because they run more North to South than Cooks the majority of the time and we need that. Last but not least, if our O-Line can protect Josh and give him some clean pockets more than not, we’ll win! We got this!!!! 💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾💯

I watched the divisional round replay from last season a couple days ago on NFL Network. He had 3 drops! I clearly remember the drop on that 50 yard bomb from Allen but he was awful outside of that as well

Yeah, Kansas City’s defensive scheme relied on shutting down Diggs. In the 13 seconds game, David stepped up big time, but that was the only time he really was that guy the Bills could rely on consistently when Diggs couldn’t be found. Now, the Bills have a way better O-line, way better run game, way better team atmosphere, way more efficient offense, and way more reliable targets. Back then, it was what, Diggs, Davis, McKenzie, and Knox? McKenzie dropped anything that was thrown his way and Knox and Davis aren’t going to single handedly win you a game on most nights. Knox is a way better tight end than Davis is receiver, but not explosive enough on offense to really single handedly carry a team like Diggs could. Now, the Bills always have someone ready and willing and hungry to open up and exploit a weakness. It starts with the run game. That opens up Shakir as a fantastic slot receiver. Cover him, the tight ends eat. Bring everyone up and Cooper and Coleman sneak in. Throw in Hollins, Samuel, and the catching abilities of the three running backs, plus Josh Allen’s Superman cape, and you’ve got an offense that on paper doesn’t exist, but in reality can cause teams to bleed from cuts they didn’t even know they had!

Hey, nice review, lifelong KC fan here. What I see happening is Spags shutting down the run. They can flip a switch when they need to. It will become a game of heroes period, who wants it more. We know both quarterbacks has it in them. So im going to go to our defense, a lights out game for our secondary. Going to be a good one. KC 24-21 If we lose.. Im not too upset. A 3 peat would be phenomenal. But I would love to see Josh get one. He's awesome.

I think what scares me most about this game was that i was more confident in the Bills winning against the Chiefs last season in the playoffs than this year and then they came up short again, which makes me nervous about this game. Will it be a similar scenario of the Super Bowl run of the Bills losing a 4th time in a row in the post season? Or will it be a similar scenario of the 1991 Bulls with Jordan? Like Allen, Jordan was in his 7th season, no championships, playing against a Pistons team that had beaten Jordan in 3 previous playff series, and was going for a three-peat. Jordan took them down and went on to beat the Lakers in the finals for his 1st championship. Can Josh do the same to the Chiefs? I'm really hoping that they can do it this year. With the injuries stacking up on the defensive side of the ball… we can’t afford for the offense to disappear for an entire half of the game as we’ve seen in past playoff games. 6 points in the 2nd half last week made the game way too close for comfort. Only scoring once on 5 drives in the second half last year ended our season. Only posting 10 points the entire game vs the Bengals was the primary reason we got embarrassed by Cincinnati. We need four quarters of football from the offense on Sunday night.

Looks like everyone is likely to play besides Rapp. Bishop is fine in his absence if Benford plays. They controlled the entire Baltimore game without really pushing the ball down the field and it worked. Their offense is FAR better than KC's and a way bigger mismatch. Bengals game means absolutely zilch at this point. KC isn't going to slow down Allen and the offense enough for their offense to keep up.

I don’t underestimate the ability for Mahomes, Kelce and Reid to find ways to take advantage of our defense though. Our defense is way worse than it was last season in virtually every statistical category besides takeaways. Bishop is likely the best athlete we’ve ever had at safety in the McDermott era, but he doesn’t have the mental and communication part of it down yet. Benford and Milano will most definitely play but nagging injuries could impact their performance. Our offense is fully healthy and clearly the most talented unit on the team. They should be expected to carry this game and put it away. There’s no excuses for not getting into the end zone for an entire half of football and having to rely on a less talented, banged up defense to pull it out of the fire again.

@@mazzvidz yeah I think they run for like 180+ on the ground in this game with Spencer Brown back in the lineup this time around. Allen just needs to do what he's done all year and they need to make use of some deep/intermediate play action against their LBs. I'd work in some read option/RPO stuff sometime mid game if they stall out on the previous drive or KC makes some successful adjustments. Wouldn't mind seeing a couple jet sweeps to Samuel and maybe use him as the deep threat this game to threaten the edges and space them out more. Just pull out all the stops and don't give the ball away and I see a 7-10 point victory.

Bills defense is not likely to hold KC to under 24 points, will be tough to hold them to under 30. So the offense is going to have to carry them. Bills offense is going to have to scoring drives on almost every possession.

It is very difficult if not impossible to beat a playoff team twice in a season. Even Chiefs hardly ever done that. That’s why it’s always Bills and Chiefs one game each in a season, both regular and playoffs against each other. It’s just that Chiefs defeat Bills in the playoffs. Will be extremely difficult for Bills to defeat Chiefs twice in a season but of course it’s possible.

That's overblown. Buffalo has been relatively healthy on defense in the reg season matchups and decimated the past 2 years come the divisional round. They are pretty healthy this time around, and just showed out against a much better offense and bigger mismatch on paper for their scheme in Baltimore. They're built to stop KC from the ground up. No excuses this year. I think they take this game pretty handily if the refs don't decide to get punitive in KC's favor.

Chiefs biggest advantage is that they are in the bills head (everyone's really, but especially the bills) when it comes to the playoffs, and that the Chiefs don't lose close games, they are the best dogfight team in NFL history. And this is almost certainly going to be a close playoff game. The Chiefs have a long history of beating teams that *should* have beat them on paper (49ers, Ravens, Eagles, 22' Bills). When momentum swings and doubt starts creeping in... that's when the Chiefs beat you. Another thing you didn't mention that could easily factor into this game, like it did last year... the Chiefs have the better special teams unit.

Running has been the difference between the Bills' last 2 playoff losses and this year's team. Last year against the Chiefs and the year before against the Bengals they were either not able to run or got away from it and I think that led to the losses. I don't see that happening this year.

Mahomes in the playoffs is just different. The injuries on the bills are significantly bad. Even if a couple of those guys play they still will Be hurt.
