Thanks Kyle. Appreciate the breakdown. I was hoping they would go into the season with Chubb, Chop and JP. We’ve proven we need the depth. If Chubb plays well enough and we don’t need him, his trade value increases. Plus, we need so much help in the secondary and O line, we can’t rebuild each unit.

This is my go to channel for Dolphins news and analysis. You truly do a good job and stay away from emotional appeals. I think Tyreek needs to go. He is a distraction and has shown he doesn't want to be with the Dolphins.
@Ballaholic174 күн бұрын
It will definitely be interesting to see how they handle these decisions. If they do take the route of eating a lot of dead cap hits this year, it could signal that Grier and McDaniel are safe beyond 2025. I'm also intrigued by Chubb, but Philips is also set to play on his 5th year option at 15.6 million. I wonder if they try offering him a team friendly extension or if he would even accept one right now. It could be good for both sides to guarantee him some extra money over 3 years at a number below his projected market value. If Grier and McDaniel are on the hot seat. I'd expect max restructures to everyone, and post June 1st cuts to Chubb and Armstead if he doesn't retire.

Tyreek is a good football player. Unfortunately, hes a cancer in that locker room now. Its bad enough mcdaniel created an atmosphere where he doesn't focus on head coach issues and has become adam gase offensive guru v2. How many players were habitually late and how many are coming back? The situation is untenable with Tyreek and also McDaniel. The bed has been made. Just because McDaniel now says he needs to be a strict coach, doesn't mean its going to fly. Tyreek and McDaniel should both be gone. But seeing ross is blind and deaf, Tyreek has to go by trade. We aren't winning anything next year anyway. I give them 6 wins max. The schedule is tougher next year as well. And we are literally talking about bringing broken Terron back? Pass the tylenol

One thing I don’t like about Grier having his ass on the hot seat: he’s not motivated by long term. He will restructure everyone he can to allow a big splash and try to save his job. Ideally we would fire Grier. Only restructure guys like Sieler and Brooks who have long term futures. Then come 26 you’re clear of big hits on Chubb, TA, Tyreek and you can refresh.

In my opinion you just can’t keep Tyreek after what he did. It’s time for a change. Aging WRs stay relevant by outsmarting defenses and we can’t count on that with 10 given how many times he runs the wrong route. Would rather see Tua with a run game and multiple good WRs who know where to be.

We should try and use Hill and the 13 pick to maybe move up with Cleveland or NE in the draft, if we like a QB, or if one slides. But we should have drafted Thomas WR last year instead of Chop, than wouldn’t matter moving on from Hill. Now, without hill, no reason to keep McDaniel or Tua.

The front office have screwed the team for the next two seasons by dishing out restructured extensions to Tua and Hill. Tua an injury away from retirement and Hill an overpaid locker room cancer. Waddle also paid way too much for what he does, Armstead washed out and only good for less than half the season. Chubb is damaged goods too, hence why the Broncos scammed us for a ton of picks, look where they are compared to the Dolphins. McDaniels is little more than a ball boy at this stage.

Without hill, there is no more window, so if they move on from hill and not get a good deal, to either grab a new QB or WR1 for this year, to maybe run it back, might as well cut or trade all high price older players and injury potential team disasters . And do a real rebuild.. but hire a better GM, and New coach if we must. Because McDaniel did not coach like an Offensive genius this year, I’m starting to wonder if he was just riding his mentors coat tails.

It took the NFL 1/2 a season in 2023 to figure out McDaniels offense. Even with all the injuries, it was obvious that teams adapted and we did not.
