David always talks about how he doesn’t believe in the draft and dismisses high draft picks, but now wants to pretend the Heat replaced talent through their low draft picks and will be better than last year. Can’t have it both ways. Those players won’t be ready to contribute at an NBA level.

Every Heat championship has been downstream of picking a superstar #5 in the draft. Pat Riley’s championships with the Lakers came from drafting Magic Johnson #1 in the draft. I’m so sick of Heat homers saying that somehow picking high in the draft is bad when every good thing that has happened to Riley is because of it.

They absolutely failed if the goal is to try to win a championship this season. No other way to twist it. We need to rebuild away from Jimmy, he's not worth the money he wants. Bam seems pretty complacent too, might be time to listen to offers. No one wants Hero, Duncan isn't interesting for teams either, Rozier isn't it, JJJ is good, Jovic is questionable. This team isn't built to win a championship but can always surprise people but I think we should stop trying to chase rings and hit a reset.

@@SkiLILs I’m of the opposite belief. I think you need an A1 type of guy to win and we got lucky and stumbled upon Jimmy. As good as bam is I don’t see him outperforming Giannis and Tatum and Embiid in the playoffs the way I’ve seen Jimmy do that. You may not get that again any time soon. You should have chosen a direction well before this and I truly think we could have missed our window. BUT… this year Jimmy is rested and motivated. Last we’ve seen him in the playoffs he was a top 5 performer in 2023 post season. I’d personally ride that wave until the wheels come off. But I’d only move Jaime for like a superstar. No lateral moves at this point with Jaime…. He’s too promising. IF Jimmy on a contract year can’t represent us well in the regular season or can’t elevate back to playoff Jimmy … then yes I’d have to strongly consider restarting around bam and just grab a shit ton of picks and move on.

Im excited for this upcoming season. (1) We will get to see a full season of the Heat with Terry Rozier and they can build some chemistry with Rozier. (2) Jaquez Jr and Niko Jovic are still evolving and have not yet assumed their final form (keep an eye on Nikola Jovic, i don't think he's anywhere near his ceiling yet, he just turned 21) (3) The Heat had a great draft, KWare has a special feel for the game. Lastly, you can't get something for nothing. In 2019 the Clippers traded a 19 year old SGA and 4 first round picks for paul george. SGA is now an MVP caliber player and paul george is gone. Clips got no championship and OKC has SGA to build around for the next 10 years. I think Heat fans should not be so eager to see our young talent be traded away for anyone not named Anthony Edwards. Rozier was a small last year move after losing out on superstar Lilliiard and others and the previous years missing out on superstars, all of which wanted to come to Miami. Some say Napping Pat didnt even call most of them back. Pat has mind gamed you all into now thinking 2 way contracts is a major move. Stop covering for the guy if you are a true fan and hold him just as accountable as he tried to hold Jimmy Butler (and I totally agree with Pat about Jimmy speaking against another team and riling them up and refocusing then so the Heat could lose he could get a big contract because the Heat can't win without him and I think that's what Jimmy did after Heat snuck up and won one against boston...he made sure no more sneak wins or a Boston collapse or that hurts his contract - the heat can beat boston without jimmy), then you have to hold Pat Riley not getting players while other teams can, accountable.

Who needs to stay competitive if the talent you trade with is mediocre so its untradable (g leaguers) and Pat overpays for? It makes us less competitive - look at our cap issues for Riley overpaying low talent to stay competitve...This is a Lebron move. Riley and Spo looks like they have a high winning % with few chips - that's how they make a legacy in the nba instead of showing they can start over and build a championship team. Lebron's move was longevity to try to combat the great legacies of Kobe and MJ and win scoring titles because he has played so long. Riley is doing something similar. Boston won a chip. Last year, they did much better. Miami was out the first round. NY was a player, Boston won the chip. Obviously not every team who made a move can win especially when they lose a series to another team that made a move. Weird how you all support a person even if it means the it indirectly are not supporting the success of the organization.

Sory but there is no need to wacht the video, we failed and we can expect not to compete at all this season.
