PFF had GBs Oline Top 10 2 yrs straight. Improved this year over last yr. It's probably one of Gutenkunsts best job as a GM constructing it. I would hate to see Love behind a average Oline to be honest.

He would be fine behind an average o-line if he could consistently take the check downs and use his feet when given an opening. If he adds either of those to his game next season (with the o-line he has), he will be a clear top 8 QB. If he adds both, he has the potential to move in to the top tier.

This isnt the own you think it is. Who in their right minds would have buyer's remorse about a qb whos led them to playoffs twice in 2 years starting all with the youngest roster in football the entire time? Rodgers had exactly 0 playoff wins to this point in his career with an even better rosterm Didnt have an overly great regular season the year they won the super bowl either. That team was 6-6 and struggling before getting scorching hot. Youre just blind hating Love cuz you cant let Rodgers go. Time to grow up.

He's lost us more games than been the reason we won. If the argument begins with stats and comparing his "first 2 years to Favre and Rodgers" then go talk to a wall. When so far, have we ever been in a game, where we needed Love to be THE GUY and BE THE REASON we win a game..... and he's done it? If you take away the Chiefs, Lions and Dallas playoff game....... what other game in 2 seasons does anyone actually remember him playing great off the top of your head. You can EASILY wave your hand at it when the only good QB play was a 2 month stretch. Every argument, people point to a small little window. That's like arguing Jeremy Lin was a great NBA player cuz he went Nuclear for 20 games. Watching the QB play of the Final Four QBs in the playoffs should tell you how damn far off he is from actually being a Top 10 QB. You aren't taking Jordan Love over a dozen other QB in the league. Plain and simple.

You named three games... Chiefs, Lions, and Dallas. Add to that Vikings and Bears from 2023, plus Cardinals, Dolphins, and Seahawks from 2024. That's 8 great games out of 32 he actually played in. Add to those games Chicago and Atlanta from 2023 when he threw for 6 total TDs and 0 INTS, but a low completion percentage. The 49ers game from 2024 was 2TDs 0 INTS, but a low completion percentage. Think about how those games would have looked without the drops. I'm not saying he's an elite QB, but I can only think of four QBs I would trade him for immediately if I were given the opportunity... Mahomes, Jackson, Allen, and Burrow. I think we saw what Sam Darnold really is at the end of this season and we saw what Brock Purdy really is when he doesn't have his elite playmakers available. I would say right now, Goff and Mayfield look more consistent. Nix and Daniels are coming up behind him, but Love was those guys last year. So realistically, I'm only taking 7 or 8 ahead of him at best.

@kylebhouser Only 4??????? I'd swap Love with Mahomes, Jackson, Allen, Burrow, Hurts, Stroud, Daniels, Goff, Mayfield, Stafford, Herbert. That's 11 right there. And you can argue for Dak, Purdy or even Bo Nix is already proven to be better at this point.

There were a lot of things to not like about Love this year. I can understand why us as Packer fans are concerned. - I think the biggest thing is I hope Jordan love watch this year‘s playoffs, this year’s playoffs told me everything I need to know about the next coming young generation quarterbacks. The mentality of just relying on skill will not work ever in this league. Jordan Love has a tremendous skill level, but the one thing that he is missing from his DNA is winning in however fashion it takes. I hope the injury really limited him this year because next year I want to see him be a leader 100% in control and make decisive decisions if I see him throwing into a triple coverage next year on the first three drives I promise I’m not watching the game

Counter point: Not saying it's perfect, but throwing into double/triple coverage shows Love really trusts his receivers and is willing to let them make plays (they often do). Would you prefer that or Caleb Williams who doesn't trust his receivers so he doesn't throw to them unless they're wide open, which causes him to hold the ball too long and take sacks. I get there's also a middle ground, but the throwing into triple coverage wins more than it loses for Love, so I'm fine with it. Most of his picks don't come from throwing into double or triple coverage.

This playoffs was exactly the same as the last 10. It’s just a different team… we make it by beating decent teams but as soon as we play a physical team they dominate us. The packers simply do not draft mean physical players. I thought this team is more physical than most but there is a clear difference between the 49ers, eagles and the packers. We are still a finesse team with lots of bells and whistles but we get bullied by teams that are straight up better and play physical

I don't think they were dominated, though. I think they lost a fumble that they had actually recovered, lost their best offensive lineman early in the game, and then didn't get a pass interference call on Love's last interception. It could have easily been a neck and neck game until the very end when Saquon didn't slide and the Eagles won by one possesion.

My concern on drafting Jordan Love wasn't his talent or potential, it was his experience in playing big games in college, and more importantly his lack of leadership. He clearly has demonstrated time and time again he has zero leadership ability...there is your compelling reason. Leadership is the limiting factor in business, sports, and life...leaders are and always have been a rare commodity. Peter, I hope you read that and really step back and take a solid look at the what many of see is a lack of leadership in Green Bay.

First of all, because he's following two HOF QBs, people seem to think that Love will end up doing the same. I'll reverse the question on you: what exactly did he do this season that should silence any doubters? I can't think of anything. Second, for every breathtaking throw he makes he has two ghastly INTs that NFL QBs simply can't make. That's the same flaw that Favre had which cost Green Bay dearly in the playoffs multiple times. So far his big claim to fame came in the Wild Card last year versus the Cowboys where he was incredible, but then threw a ghastly game-losing INT against the Niners the following week, doing an incredible tribute to Green Bay's famous wellfare-stealer. Third, make all the excuses you want about his supporting cast, all I remember in the offseason was everybody talking about how young and promising the Packers were, now all of the sudden we're saying Love needs a WR1 in order to be good. Even if there's some merit to that, he's getting paid superstar QB money, he's supposed to "elevate", so I'm not going to sit here and post bail for him when the Packers flame out against good teams like they did.

100% spot on. The excuses are getting old! It's everyone else's fault in some peoples eyes. The injuries, the WR's, the offensive line, the play calling, etc. When you holdout for the big contract you should be able to be the player that rises above all that and make everyone around you better.

As always, people go to extremes. He is not at top 10 QB but he is not a bottom 10 QB. And the eye test is his accuracy. If you really watch the tape, about 20% of his throws show accuracy problems. Even some receptions you can say are inaccurate throws. This goes back to college. Many of the crossing routes are behind the receiver and many of his deep balls are under thrown or towards the leverage of the DB. His footwork regressed this year and that hurt his accuracy more. Does that mean get ride of Love, no He is a good QB who needs to be better. His revivers did not help him as much this year and he was not good enough to overcome that, He could be elite if he improves his accuracy, but again, this goes back to college tape.

I’m not 100% sold on Love. I’m not saying Malik is better but I think we should let him sit for 2 more years and if love clearly isn’t the guy and Malik progresses I’m down with giving him a shot. He could be like Sam Darnold. He doesn’t need to have the arm talent if he always makes the right choice. I want a mobile WB so bad. Even Mahomes and Allen both run. Allen is a big heavy guy but he runs WAY MORE than love! Rodgers at this point in his career ran more than Wilson did. He could scramble in the pocket and made defenses pay for leaving space. I can’t tell you how many times there is a huge lane up the middle where Live can easily pick up the 1st and Live bails on the run to force a pass into double or triple coverage only to be intercepted or knocked down. I just want a QB who takes the easy runs but Live won’t even take the gummies!!! Defenses literally don’t even have to worry about it

So numbers don't count for those games but they do for his good games against bad teams. He is also proving to be injury prone. Lastly, stop talking about him as a 2 year starter. He is 27 and has been in the league for 5 years playing under the same HC-OC his entire time. Still throws off his back foot, still randomly throws it up into coverage. Where is his improvement YOY? Given his ideal circumstance he should be further along in his development. He is a starting caliber QB, but he is not a a top ten 55 million dollar QB. Simply stated he is a JAG.

I personally think the locker room is done with love, they don't want a QB who is above the team and that's what love has become, holds out to get a huge deal, forced himself back when he was obviously hurt and cost them a divisional game cause his backup was playing well and getting a lot of recognition.
