What will it take for Matt LaFleur to win Coach of the Year?

Nobody can question LaFleur's creative brilliance as a play caller. A big part of judging a head coach is through his staff hires, especially Coordinators. The Pettine and Barry hires were failures (Pettine was a holdover), as were the Mennenga and Drayton hires as Special Teams coordinators. The strength and conditioning staffs were not up to elite level. If Bisaccia truly reforms the special teams (they're getting there) and Hafley is as good as he looks .... then MLF is certainly one of the top HCs in the League and the Packers will be a legit contender for the Lombardi.

I think hiring coordinators is a difficult thing for new head coaches, hopefully MLF has learned from those earlier mistakes.

fans and media have been focused on these individual awards when they're really pretty irrelevant to the only award that matters...the Lombardi Trophy. 12's MVP's equaled zero SB's. Holmgren and McCarthy won SB's without a COTY award. there's only one award that matters in GB.

Matt Lafluer is one of the best coaches in the NFL Rodgers didn’t help his chances he would change plays and try and do his own thing. Loves going to get paid soon in the next 2 weeks so let’s just relax

It's consistently the spt's of the Packers that cost them those games. The 49ers simply do not have great QB play. They have a great TE, one gadget receiver but scrubs outside of Debo, they have an old injury prone RB, and a defense that's starting Campbell at LB qhich means they have no depth at LB. Bosa is aging they lost Chase Young. They have a solid HC but the age issues and no DC is going to be the nail in their coffin.
