Staff and Telesco did a great job...the draft, UDFA's, FA, signing guys off of practice squads. This is the best group of young players I have seen in a long time. What aren't you getting? Look at our division, look around the league. You start by getting a franchise qb and keep trying till you get one. The Raiders haven't even tried since drafting that dope Derek Carr. We didn’t even need him in that Chiefs game last year, he only put up 19 points against the WORST RANKED DEFENSE in the league and fucked us out of good draft positioning last Sunday. I've got my eye on Jaxson Dart who I think is going to be a number 3 or 4 QB in the draft off the board. If we can't get Sanders, I think Dart would be an excellent QB if he's available in the 2nd round but depending on his combine performance which I believe will be strong, he could very well be the 3rd or 4th best QB in the draft. I think he's the sleeper who will develop into a star QB.

For you Raider fans that do not have time to do research or watch college football or just are not experienced in Qb evaluations….Cam Ward is no doubt the Qb1 of this draft class. He plays Iowa St in a bowl game this week. Iowa State is ranked in the top 5 in pass defense. It will be Cam Ward’s first time all season facing a legit defense. If he does well, he will no doubt solidify his place as the first Qb targeted. Sanders is facing BYU this week. BYU is ranked 24th in pass defense. Sanders has only faced one other defense in the top 50, Utah (42nd). All other pass defenses faced by Sanders were ranked in the 70-133rd range. So the BYU game is important for Sanders stock to rise in the eyes of NFL GMs. His stock will drop as teams get closer to the draft because his size and arm strength isn’t ideal. What I mean drop, from a top 5 pick to mid 1st round to early day 2 pick. If he has a great BYU game, that will solidify his value as an early Day 1 pick. Will Howard, Ohio State stock is rising because of his size mobility and the competition he faced. Arm strength is ok, not super. Mobility is really good for a pocket Qb. Will run if defenses ignore him. Kurtis Rourke (Indiana) and Riley Leonard (Notre Dame) have the size but both are Day 3 Qbs that will project as nothing more than solid backups. The dark Horse is Jalen Milroe (Alabama) most likely he will go back to school for another year. If he chooses to declare for the draft, his potential will be too good to pass up for some teams. Expected a team who has a good starter that can afford to draft Jalen and groom him for a season or 2. Doug Gabriel (Oregon) is playing at a very high level at the moment. The playoffs is an opportunity for him to move into the Day 2 discussion if he continues having great games. NFL teams will fall in love with his tape…..however, like Sanders, the measurables will scare teams. Gabriel is a small 5’10 Qb. Bryce Young tier Sanders is taller but is a small 6’1 3/4” who cannot afford to gain too much weight. Gaining weight will only slow him down and he already isn’t very quick at all. Really good Qb when things are clean. Gabriel must be very aware of weight issues because his frame is built too stocky. Lots of people put down Aiden, but reality is they are not even 1% the QB Aiden is. The Rookie of last year has won more Raiders games than Minshew and I think Minshew should have started as Aidens vet presence backup. I really hope some guy who cuts his hair with a bowl isn't listening to a QB whose entire career was reliant on referees allowing his OL to hold on every play. These last two years highlight how important a good OC and the correct QB for that scheme is for a winning season. I have been and will continue to be an AOC fan and would like to see him get the time needed to work in a system and show he can develop into that franchise QB we need to have. Our draft picks should go towards OL for starters and depth. 12 & 13 personal packages will and should be the teams mantra. We have most of the players needed, adding a good power back and a pass catching FB/TE type to leave Bowers & Mayer on the line or split out. There is no reason we can not pick up or draft power linemen. Power "play action" is and will always be viable and a 2nd half beast. Keep our defense solid, bring back players we have and win games.
