Nice to see there are still some honest Lock Pickers in the UK not like UKLP who sell brand names in plain bags with MADE IN CHINA on them....Keep up the good work............

No matey. Illegal to carry in U.K. unless you have good reason. I leave mine at home. Had to pick lock at work so went back for them.

Very good tutorial mate. Unfortunately I'm in the same situation with my vespa top box (lost key). Can you advise what juggler set is used for that?
@UKEDC2 жыл бұрын
Medium set should do it for you mate. It may sound corny but try jiggling with paperclip or wife's hair grip first. You'll feel it touch the pins, your trying to make them get into place by aggressively jiggling and gently turning. Good luck.

Do you EDC these lock picking tools? I used to EDC a simple 2-piece bogota set but I stopped carrying them simply because I carry so much gear on me, lock picks could tint the picture to "Eees trying to not-break and enter to knick anyfinn he finds". I never had an occasion to use them but I did like the fact that in a pinch I had that simple 2-piece set, use one as the tension tool and the other as the pick/rake. Technically lock picking tools are not illegal them selves, but a police officer could arrest you for "going equipped" which means you have any tools made or adapted for the commission of a crime like breaking, entering, thieving. While, apparently, the CPS does not proceed with many "going equipped" cases, it is still an arrest against your name even though you aren't left with a conviction or a caution or whatever. I just don't feel like adding that ingredient which may paint the wrong picture. However when you EDC a multi-plier multitool and you work in an office environment so you carry paper clips........ In a pinch if someone asked if I could open something, I could fashion something on the fly and give it a go, but after having tried, I can say with 100% certainty that it's lightyears less effective than having genuine picks. But it can work in some cases.

How do you know what giggler key to use for what lock.

t S hi. As said in the video. Also known as tryout keys, if one doesn’t work try another. As with most skills you have to learn how to use things. Try it you’ll soon pick it up 😀

how do you tell which jggler keys are for which lock??

Pretty straightforward you look at the size of the lock and look at the size of the key see if it goes in and jiggle it. It’s that simple

You just get a feel for them mate. Gauge the size by looking at the hole. You also can feel the mechanisim jiggle so you know you have the right size. A few goes and you soon get it. Good luck.

Lol I got interested in locksport a while back by accident. I lost the key for my upstairs window and began a quest to pick it open/closed or find a replacement that would operate sed lock. From my own experience I got a set of jiggler keys and gave them a shot. Essentially you give it a try and see, even cycle through the ones you have and hopefully one will work. Funny enough one of the jiggler keys operates the window lock so happy days. Though I do feel relatively happy that it can only be accessed indoors so doesn't compromise my security as such. On a side note please don't pick locks you don't own or have permission to try to open. Also note if you get caught by the police carrying picks about with you technically you could get into bother depending on the circumstances. Just common sense. Thanks

so theres nothing to stop someone from buying these keys walking in my drive and stealing my motorbike or car???
@UKEDC9 жыл бұрын
Pretty much no is the answer to that mate any one can buy them and learn how to use them. It's down to the people that do the stealing not the keys, tbh if people want to get into your car or house they will brick through a window is quicker than picking a lock, same as drilling a lock, there are loads of ways in I spoke to a lock smith recently really supprissing what they know.
@connorjackson50379 жыл бұрын
Pretty much, unless you've got a special lock. Security pins on normal locks, and cars that use sensors instead of keys won't really be affected by jiggers
@Soulrider20128 жыл бұрын
+bingley biker Oh, I wouldn't say, nothing. Most locks are simply good for keeping the honest people, honest. While picking won't usually be the method most thieves use (as already mentioned) it still makes sense to do what you can to slow thieves down and make their job a "little" more difficult when possible. With home security locks you get what you pay for. Stay away from the $10-15 door locksets you can buy at your local big box store, hardware store or home center. Do a little research and spend a little more money. But personally, I wouldn't buy anything by KWIKSET, especially their "Smart Key" deadbolts, etc. That smart key rekeying slot makes them extremely vulnerable. You can literally go online and buy a bypass tool that will open the lock in seconds causing no damage and the lock can be relocked showing no signs of forced entry which I believe makes home owner's insurance claims a bit tougher to make. As already mentioned, most thieves are probably not going to take the time to pick a lock even if many cheaper home entry locks can be easy to pick. They're going to go with something quicker and easier like breaking a window or looking for an unlocked window or back door, or something like lifting a sliding glass door out of the track (which CAN be done on some doors). Put a security company's sign in your yard or bushes indicating you have a security system, regardless of whether not you really do. Just the illusion that you MIGHT have one may be enough to cause a thief to skip your house for one without a sign or stickers on the window. Why should they take the chance when the house next door has no such sign? As far as modern cars being stolen, many cars today have electronics that won't allow the car to start or stay running without the PROPER key being inserted in the ignition or in the case of keyless/push button start, having the proper key close by. Even if an auto-jiggler key DID happen to turn the ignition and even start the car initially, usually the computer system will shut the engine off or shut the fuel pump down within a couple of seconds if the proper key isn't in the ignition or close by. Motorcycles are a different story. I don't think they are anywhere near as secure as current automobiles are. With those you are probably best doing research (again) and buying the best / most secure lock you can afford AND buying a length of chain that is EQUALLY secure. There is no point in spending $50-$100+ on a relatively secure lock with a hardened steel shackle only to buy a cheap length of chain that can easily be cut with a small bolt cutters. Get a short length of chain used for wrapping the tires on earth moving / mining equipment. I believe it's called Pewag. You can google it. It's some really heavy stuff. You basicaly need an angle grinder to cut this stuff and it takes like a couple of minutes of continuous grinding to get through it. Not something you're going to do without drawing a LOT of attention.. It's expensive but I think it will probably slow down or stop most thieves.

+Soulrider2012 thank you for taking the time to reply. much appreciated.
@dimitrifortounis47877 жыл бұрын
Soulrider2012 I agree. Thieves tend to be more driven by chance. Essentially don't make yourself an easy target or attract their attention. Funny enough a lot of breakins or thefts occur without a lock or the lock actually being engaged/picked. A lot of the time it's the human element that let's security down. Also picking an unfamiliar lock is a bit more labor intensive than a thief would want. I also locked myself out of my own garden shed via a padlock as I had lost the key. Actually took a fair bit of effort and time. I'm pretty sure my neighbours would have noticed a stranger clunking around in my garden for over 5 mins messing around with picks. Plus the jiggler keys didn't work on that occasion. Let's face it, a career criminal works in the shadows. The last thing they would want is risk of exposure.
