Back to Classic Rock with Jethro Tull. Who remembers Locomotive Breath? Of course, this is all about the breathtaking flute playing by Ian Anderson. But the drum part is actually pretty tasty too!

Yet again Sina takes a classic song and brings the drums further up in the mix. Makes me see old songs in a new light when the drums can be clearly heard, not lost in the background.

I'm not a drummer I play the guitar and piano I sat at a drum set a few times and I don't have the gift I favor drummer's because that what keeps the best Neil, Lars, Tommy Aldridge, and Tommy Lee just got what I wish I could do. Sina is on her way to become someone that can take it to the next level.

Well, to me Jethro Tull was always Ian Anderson and the flute. Thanks to Sina, today I listened the first time really to the drums. She gave the song a fresh and New Balance and that little bit playing after the end was pure genius. Ravishing!

This makes me so happy! When I was in high school I was a HUGE Tull fan. I would put the speakers right next to my ears and blast the Aqualung album, especially this song. It's a wonder I have any hearing left. And the first rock concert I went to was their "Passion Play" concert at Boston Garden. To see and hear you play this song is a real gift. And naturally, you nailed it. THANK YOU!

Oh Sina you made my day today!!!! You did an outstanding job on this!!!! Tull is one of my favorite bands of all time. I was fortunate enough to see them live in Pittsburgh 3 times in the mid-late '70s and once in the early '80s. Ian Andersen was magical on stage!! Thank you so much for doing one of their songs. Al Brown, Chicago late 70's the band was about a minute into Locomotive Breath when some idiot threw an egg at Ian Anderson. The band stopped immediately and Ian pointed to the direction the egg came from. The guy was caught and escorted out of the building. The crowd applauded. Ian looked at the band and said let's try this again. They started the song from the beginning and blew the crowd away! Great song!!!

Hallo SINA!

Sina you are simply irresistible and never fail to impress. The working hours that you and Mike put in every week must be enormous and exhausting but you continue to excel week in week out. I have to admit one thing though. As I scroll through KZbin every day i come across a lot of wanna be drummers and to be quite Frank they dont hold a candle to what you churn out every week. Apart from their sub par performances i find that their sounds are really tinny and unpleasant to listen to. Maybe it's just because I'm such a Sina fanboy. I cant explain enough how privileged I've been to be a member of your channel and it is a nobrainer to support your channel. That sounded so good and what a special treat this morning. The strong kick of your bass all through was the perfect beat of a real locomotive crankin' on down the tracks. I love(d) the Tull but I think your version was a few notches on the better side because we can see the sound of the drums. Sina, the cover for "Locomotive Breath" looks like the happiest you've ever been when doing a cover. I judge this because I see you dancing to the music. When I'm really happy with music that's what I do. I know you said you enjoy the music that you cover and I'm sure you do. But when you're exuberantly dancing while keeping rhythm with the drums, I think you're especially happy! Since you bring a lot of joy to those of us who are your fans I'm glad to see you enjoy it as well!

This piece awakens memories. Flute in rock music and his way of performing were very impressive for me. Clive Bunker's way of playing is not known for the attributes reserved, gentle and quiet. We have the year of birth and the year in which we found our lady together - unfortunately not the drum talent. Great if you see him today with "without hair" and a white beard, but still fast and powerful. The way Sina played here, Clive should have felt the Sina breath in his neck.

You know what it is about Sina and her utterly remarkable skillset? It is definitely the execution, yes. But, for me, it's knowing that I will not be the last generation who was blessed so incredibly to have experienced that Classic Rock era. I thought of this while watching/listening to Sina's cover of Dire Straits. How lucky we all are that she discovered this vein of musical gold. So damn lucky. In the words of U2 from Rattle and Hum, "It's a musical journey."

Anyway, to receive about 52-thousand clicks with over 5-thousand thumbs-up within 1 day conveys all about your high profile and popularity. There can’t be no doubt, this is no fortuity. This is credited to your talent and high performance in what you do…being an excellent creative drummer with the courage to present us also your own drummer-interpretation of famous past music. Many thanks for this, it is anytime a great pleasure to see and to hear you, really. It speaks to the greatness of both Clive Bunker (Jethro Tull's drummer from 1967-71, and for whom the Equaling LP and associated sessions were his last work with the band) and Barrie Barlow (who drummed with Tull from 1972-80 and played this song many times live; he also played with the band before they were Jethro Tull - in The Blades and The John Evan Smash from 1965-67). Thank you, Sina - Tull is one of my all-time favorite bands, and you did them justice. 😉

No, you just won’t slow down - going for an xtra mile after the song ends. Yes, you and Mike know how much we love these little give-aways for your Patrons. Thanks a lot, Sina (and Mike)! 19 March 1971: the release of “Aqualung” - making your cover a nearly 50th anniversary. And you do so with the furor and the instrumental eloquence we have accustomed ourselves to a long time ago. - Still, I sadly miss the long piano introduction. To me it embodies the last energy filled minutes before the train actually departs. No drums during that part, for sure. But we all can fathom your comment, running as text over the screen: “Now that we are all desperately waiting for the drums to get started, let me use the time to [answer some frequently asked questions / outline some of the things imminent to happen on my channel / and so forth].” I still vividly recall the fascination caused by this album. It was my first encounter with Tull. (It took me decades to become aware of their bluesy, jazz influenced beginnings.) Released halfway between “in Rock” and “Fireball” it introduced the concept of Prog Rock to me. Until today it has a distinct ring to it, quite different from the styles of ELP or Procol Harum. [No, Sina, no mentioning of the Procol’s famed l’homme de batterie today. :-)) ] Highly enjoyable to have you bringing to life those old days. Thank you so much!

A guitarist does something different with each hand. A pianist two hands and, sometimes one foot. But, you Sina, as a drummer, do something different with each of your four limbs. And, you do it with perfection. You are awesome.. Love this...

I can't believe how hard this song looks to play! I've heard it a million times, but seeing Sina play it - made me realize that the song would be a nightmare to learn and play. Sometimes simple is exceedingly complex. THANK YOU Sina!

"2020 has most certainly been The Shuffling Madness".....If it weren't for SINA/DRUMS i for one would have little to smile about.....Miss Doering brings some structure to each day because of her ability to bring music to the forefront which allows for some escape from "The Locomotive Breath" of todays interactions.....from me to you Sina.....Thank You so much.....

As an old guy who was a drummer, I am amazed at your relaxed play but aggressive . Love your riffs. When you go on tour I will surely be there. Drumming has given me a renewed interest in playing. Joe Morelli who played with Dave Brubeck originally was blind at the end of his career, but he was fabulous ! Sina.....you are more talented at your age! You make it look so easy!!
