Cool video. How were you all able to trail so close behind the intermodal at 32:26? Arn't there block signals that prevent that?

Thank you! 🙂 The block signals allow us to continue moving at a much lower speed but we need to be able to stop half the distance of another train ahead of us.

Its been over thirty years since the last regularly scheduled, daily passenger train rolled along these tracks. High time to bring it back.

Who runs this train? is it CN? CP? VIA? or does the Rocky Mountaineer provide it's own crews?

Nobody seems to know, but my guess is CP.

I think it's a separate company that does excursions and CP just gives them permission to run on their network!
