Erode junction was around 100 years old. Built by British, the passenger subway was first of its kind. There are many specialities in Erode. 1. It had steam, diesel loco shed. The steam shed has been converted into eloco shed. It has a huge water tank just in front of the eloco shed, which is still supplies to junction n railway colony.

பொதுவாகவே, பழைய நீராவி எஞ்சின், டீசல் எஞ்சின், மிண்சார எஞ்சின் இவைகள் முன் பக்கம் போகும் அதே வேகம் பின் பக்கமும் போகுமா...? உதாரணத்திற்க்கு சென்னை To கடலூர் வரும் எஞ்சின், அதே வேகத்தில் Rivers கியரில் போகுமா...?
