What class of engine will this be?

It’s kind of an original.. The closest I can relate her to is the Nancy or Kowie narrow gauge locos. 0-6-0 Tank. I’ll number her with family birthdates :)

Out of curiosity, what was it you were using to pack around the piston rods with the flat head screw driver?

It’s called steam packing yarn. It’s graphite that’s mixed with a metal yarn in order to keep the moving part sit tight while under steam. A bit of a gasket if you will. Hope this helps!

Yep! Live steam. It will pack 90psi and be able to haul roughly 8 adults. I’ll have it running on air in a month or so and put a video up :)
