Se made hot wings which had nothing to do with Mexican beer. She could have worked the beer into the sauce and hit the chicken with a Southwestern dry rub to give the chicken layers of flavor. Switch out the bs veggies se had and make a roasted corn salad wit crumbled cheese in it for added freshness and to show understanding of the tex-mex flavors.

The reason I love these cooking shows is because you get to see all of the contestants genuinely appreciative of each other. There's no hair-pulling, back-biting American reality TV antics. I think some reynold lovers just need to pull the "jealousy" card because they can't admit he's got flaws like any other human. I am watching this season (started late, I know), I am about halfway through and more than once has reynold dropped the ball AND, like the absolute champ that he is, he acknowledged that he slipped up, that his performance was not up to par, however, up untill where I watched, none of those missteps really placed him on the danger zone, they usually happen on mistery boxes or team challenges and then on elimination he bounces back. He is very talented and an awesome chef, but you guys really need to pull your heads out of your asses and stop assuming the judges (which are the judges for a reason) would feel threatened by a contestant and thus have him disqualified over that. Jock for example has about the same pedigree as Gordon Ramsay (or close at least), Andy is also very successful and Melissa is a successfull food critic I believe. Why would either of them be jealous of a chef who really excels at 1 area but stumbles on others? More than once they recognized how amazing his desserts are, so I don't get the "they are jealous and hate how good he is" narrative, it really just shows how petty you guys are just because he failed at 1 elimination test.
