Luke, my man. Thanks for finally visiting Łódź. Nice video. Łódź has a lot to offer, more than Biedronkas and Shopping malls! Fun fact: there is a 50/50 love/hate relationship to Łódź in Poland. People who studied there or lived there absolutely love the place and would die for it (like me) and there's the other half hating on Łódź as being the ugliest city in Poland. I leave it to you to judge. Łódź has great nighlife - try finding some place with live music. There are plenty. Enjoyyyy
@DerekChabrow5 жыл бұрын
it is the ugliest city in Poland, hard to deny that but also a very interesting city with rich history, most famous Jewish Poles came from Lodz, like Tuwim or Reymont. Great underground club scene in Lodz, and it's nice to see them finally begin restoring the old Jewish buildings like Izreal Poznanski Palace. Manufactura was his factory, biggest textile factory in Europe. During the war they made soldier uniforms for the Wehrmacht there. Two of Israel former PM's were born in Lodz. Lodz has great history, one of biggest battles Battle of Lodz was fought during WWI in Lodz, Dec of 1914. Russia lost that battle and Lodz became German industrial city even during WWI. It's the only 100% baroque city in the World that grew up during a very short baroque era, in late 1800s, just walk down Piotrkowska street and you'll know what I mean.

Ha ha ha cheap flights makes miracles. How did You get to my place of birth. Typical town epoch of industrial revolution. Factories factories and factories. I stil have in my mind hundreds factory chimneys. To the point there is something in :Lodz, unknown big city in the center of Poland. Town with the biggest developing dynamics in the second half of nintieth century in Europe. Speciality of Lodz at this time is interesting modern adaptation of old industial architecture, and good cuisines in tastefull restaurants.
