Łódź is the Polish Detroit :), just instead of car industry it was textile industry center. It was the second biggest city in Poland, grew in like 100 years from a small village. It was called the "Promised Land" - the easiest place to make it big out of nothing in Poland before WW2. It had huge manufactories, lots of business. In 1989 it all went bankrupt because of cheap import from Asia, and the city is still losing populatin 30 years later. At least unemployement is decreasing now, it was huge for most of the time.

Next time check out Księży Młyn district and Monopolis (should be finished by 2020), park Źródliska, grab a snack at Palmiarnia, lunch at Czeski Film and finish with a beer at Browar Księży Młyn.

Łódź is the home of Depeche Mode concerts in Atlas Arena. Always a thrilling experience. The ones in 2010 were the best ever in Poland :)

Visit Kielce, definetly go to the place called "Kadzielnia". Also "Sienkiewicza" street is worth to see :D (people says there is nothing worth to see in this city. Prove them wrong :D) U might check "Karczówka" as well.

My city dude, if you have movie director eye, you will love it as scenography, so much potential, just like David Lynch who put Łódź next after Vienna (!?!) The best place in Łódź is Księży Młyn. Go there next time and walk throu Tymienieckiego street to see what's Łódź about.

For a long time, Łódź was a Polish Detroit. A least you won't get your hands chopped off in Łódź, just like it happens in Kraków. :P

Lodz is an unique polish city and it's the third-largest city in Poland. It has alot of old buildings, it is the centre of the polish film industry, has a long history and the whole essence of the city is something else that you can't find in another polish city. The industrial appearance of the city does not mean that you can't find light because of it's dark being. Visit the city just like Luke and see for yourself.

Luke, there is another city in Poland, which people hates - my hometown KIELCE. 200 000 people, less than 3 hours from Warsaw by train. Main street - Sienkiewicza, malin building - Pałac Biskupów Krakowskich, main malls - Galeria Korona and Galeria Echo.

Mi się w Kielcach podoba, Kadzielnia super, Sienkiewicza z tym parkiem bardzo fajna, po prostu ludzie się doczepili i tyle. U was scyzoryki wzięły się od Liroya, a o Łodzi pismaki zaczęły pisać ze Detroit, bzdura. Natomiast jeśli miałbym się do czegoś przyczepić w Kielcach to przychodzą mi na myśl 3 rzeczy: 1. Brak tabliczek z nazwami ulic, ciagle trzeba zerkać na telefon żeby wiedzieć gdzie się jest. 2. Osobiście nie podoba mi się kostka na Sienkiewicza, wiem ze zabytkowa i w ogóle, ale niewygodna strasznie. 3. Ten dworzec autobusowy, to robi kiepskie pierwsze wrażenie. Pozdrawiam z Łodzi !

Po przeczytaniu tytułu pomyślałem, że ludzie odradzali ci wizytę w Białymstoku. A tu Łódź... 25 lat temu tam studiowałem. Pamiętam ten szok, kiedy tak jak ty skręciłem w boczną uliczkę Piotrkowskiej a tu staruszka, zgarbiona babinka pogania kijkiem idące jedna za drugą stado gąsek. Takiego nagłego kontrastu nie doświadczyłem później nigdzie indziej na świecie, chociaż w wielu krajach bywałem. Do dziś Łódź kojarzy mi się z tym widokiem, chociaż to już na pewno zupełnie inne miasto.

Loved Łódź, and would love to go back there one day.. for anyone interested in History it is an amazing place... but it in general is great.. lots of parks and lots of nice places to visit. Also only meet very nice people there :-)

during watching your video I've just realised that I need to make a comment, it;s so bizarre, I'm watching video made in poland but feels like a different place , to be honest I wouldn't fancy to watch another video about poland made by polish person because I believe I wouldn't be surprised, people from poland have nearly the same way of understanding our country so I guess it would be a bit boring to me, and yet watching you, enjoying poland and talking about how to travel and recommending your way to explore and taking a view from completely different perspective makes poland more attractive to me, most likely because I have my own idea of my country which is nothing to do with your experience as a visitor taking our country as it is

Poland is a great country, I can't wait to go back. I have been 3 times and feel safer there then I do in California. Food is the best, people dress nice and still care about how they look. Minimum homeless is also nice.

Łódź to miasto upadłe, mieszkam w nim od 46 lat i takiego bardaku jak teraz nie pamiętam. Wczoraj,tzn.22.10.2019 smog -650 procent normy. Można przyjechać, zobaczyć i z ulgą wyjechać. Potem opowiadać... Ludzie odradzający podróż do miasta Łodzi pewnie pochodzą albo mieszkają w nim.
