Waiiiiiiiit why hasn't anyone said anything about the clip of me taking a thumbnail playing overtop of *what was supposed to be* bloopers in the beginning??? HAHHAHA how did that even happen? Goodness. I'm not even going to fix it. It's too late now 🙈🥴

I know this is a decluttering vid but I actually have a suggestion for clothes that once had been your most favorite. Only your most favorites, the ones that you absolutely have a hard time getting rid of. Put it in a box or a chest and save it for your children when they grow up. Becareful of not making it hoarding though. I really love wearing clothes that once had been my mother's or grandmother's that just was passed to my mother. It's also interesting because you realize that trends do comeback. So now, I don't only have original and high quality vintage clothes, but I also have an inheritance for my future babies. It's actually cool that some of the clothes I have lasted for three generations. My grandmother and mother are really great at taking care of their clothes.

In the future I would love to see which clothes you kept and which you decluttered piece by piece. It is even more satisfying to see the declutter pile grow when you know what is in it ☺

I work in a fashion retail and highly suggest folding all of your knitwear! Or purchasing knitwear specific hangers. Knits can be so heavy and you might notice they will pull at the shoulders and become out of shape. You could also add rubber strips to your hangers to avoid them slipping and pulling. Love this new series. I’m all for decluttering our house and minds

Oh my goodness, when you were talking about recognizing how much stress all the stuff is causing you and your husband... I feel that. My husband and I have been decluttering like crazy and it feels so good! We're expecting our firstborn due in a matter of days now, and her impending arrival has given us the kick in the pants we needed to get our home in order. Thank you for being so real and genuine, and providing declutter motivation. :) I always look forward to watching your videos!

This came at the perfect time! We have been moving a lot for my husband’s job. After over 12 moves in the last 4 years we finally get to be in one place for an entire year! With that we finally have all our belonging in one place as well. I’ve been doing a lot of decluttering! I want to enjoy more time enjoying my day instead of constantly feeling like there is something to clean or put away!

You said you were excited and empowered by the curtains and wanted to learn how to/get better at sewing. Altering your clothes or any almost-perfect thrift finds would be a great way to hone that skill and get your dream wardrobe. Don't start with that gorgeous skirt though, the fabric is not forgiving for beginners. It would be a great goal to set for yourself as you learn; The Skill Skirt. It would be another fun series also as I'm sure your comments section is full of support and wisdom to help you on your journey to being able to make anything!

Just started with some kitchen cabinets this week, and our guest room… It’s a bit overwhelming every now and then, but it is so worth it for a functional and breathable space for family life! Great idea with having a place for an easy-to-get-to spot for keepsakes (or possible keepsakes) to be put away right away. We cannot usually get them organized right away and put into their 'official'/'final' bins. I have done a similar thing recently and I like your idea of the drawers, making it an EVEN easier and smarter choice than my current storage solution in my closet for the same thing. Great idea! Also, I was able to declutter a couple items this morning. Whoot whoot. Not much, but more than I would have if you hadn't inspired me. It makes a difference. It would be cool to know collectively, how many items were decluttered due to your inspiring video today. Lol. We will never know but you inspired many today. Thanks for sharing sister.

If the Skirt is too big on you and are unsure on how to sew it to fit you, I might have solution. I do this when a lot when I thrift vintage skirts or pants where I want to preserve their originality. (and I also don't always trust my skills in altering clothes.) The Idea would be this: Put on the Skirt/Pants, (zip it up if it has a zipper) and kind of pinch with your fingers how much fabric would be "too much" on one side. Make sure you have some wiggle room to feel comfy. Pin it with a safety pin to kind of mark it and take the skirt/pants off. Then measure the part where the skirt was too big divide it by two and fold it inwards on both sides, safety pin carefully. For Pants: There are also elastics which you can sew into pants with a button. The Elastic has many buttonholes so you can adjust how much the fabric will be cinched in. (I am not sure how well this might work on the silky skirt you showed, but you said you love it so maybe it is worth a shot?) If the pins feel uncomfy, you can just handsew it with a few stiches. I also do that sometimes and it usually survives hand- and machine washing. I am not really the person to write a comment, but I love your videos and I hope this could be helpful in a way. My nana taught me this and many other ways to preserve and fix clothes and I agree with you that many things we have aren't actually necessary, but preserve and keep the things you adore! I hope this is helpful, cheers!

So what i’ve done to help me from it getting horribly bad is basically like in my tshirt drawer, if i get some new shirts and they don’t fit, i make myself get rid of shirts until they fit. I also have a set amount of hangers. If i get something new and there’s no hanger for it, i make myself get rid of a piece so that there is room for it. Make sense? Lol
